Rob - we must moderate drink on Friday!!!

I know. It's getting worse and worse. Moderate booze and an early start.

Perhaps we could drink, pass out and then get the ladies to drive? Actually, I don't think Fiona will be up for that somehow.

If I tried that I fear I may have a black eye in most of the pics from the weekend!

Just had a call from Peninsula, the engine arrived last night, and they are busy installing it in the car.
Richard has everything else sorted on the car, so things are looking promising.

Will probably be picking the car up Friday, and travelling from there.

Whats the deal with the accomodation on Friday night ? can someone give me a grid reference / GPD co-ordinates or a url.

Details on the way all, just woken up after a post biking day nap (knackered again - I need another holiday) Dinner then Le SR plans promise.

Quick info:
The hotel is the Travel Inn in Ashford and it's not the one in the centre, it's the other one. It's approx 20 Miles from the port, but the closest I could manage and £45 for the room. No breaky I'm afraid, as we're leaving too early. Need to be at the port for 6:30am, so aiming to arrive around 6am

Fingers crossed for the Car Jason. If we need to do anything with the driving on the way down because you're running the engine in, just say. If it's not going to happen for you for whatever reason, please do let me know as early as poss, so I can cancel the room booking in Ashford for you.

Cheers,
Steve.

Buster,

How far will the porker go on a tank of petrol:
1) Cruising on the motorway at 80 ish?
2) Giving it large on a twisty road?

Steve, didn't look like you got much sleep!

Once day to go, the weather is looking slightly dodgy for Saturday now. The website below is quoting 'sprinkles', whatever they are

Some Sun on the Saturday morning, raining in the afternoon, by which time we'll be inside with the cars in the garage. Sunday is cloudy, but as long as it's not actually raining, we should be fine, just need to drive to the conditions.

It has really small tank - abt £45 from empty.

Anyone know about European breakdown cover? I'm with the RAC and the have just quoted me £32 to cover me. They have a cheaper £10.50 if I stay inside 100 miles of Calais (Reims is around 160 aparently). That 32 quid isn't multi-trip either. Just for one trip! The full annual cover is onl £90. I'm tempted to phone back and say I'm now staying around Calais. If anything goes wrong I'll get a tow to inside the 100 miles and call from there. Good idea or non?

I just called the AA. I have UK relay, so they just gave me a short break cover policy free.

If we have any issues, we can simply change plates and call the AA

Cool. Let's just hope we both don't have problems...

Anyone know if we're going to be able to watch the England France rugby somewhere? Where's my St. George's Cross
