Any contact details for the hotel, like address/phone no/email to assist with booking ?

Also, any particular ferry company or have I got to do a search ?

Bob

Ferry company is at www.seafrance.com and there's only one IBIS Hotel in Epernay and yep you can book online. Hold fire 'til 5 folks, in case there's a change of plan. It appears they have a car park, so I'll be making enquiries, once the date is set.

Cheers,

Steve

Are these dates concrete now ?

The plan is therefore as follows:
Leaving Dover: September 6 on the 07:00 Boat
Returning Calais: September 7 on the 20:30 Boat
Ferry Operator: Sea France
Cost : £99 at the moment with the Super
Apex 5 Day Return

Staying: IBIS Hotel Epernay
Cost : 57 Euros per room per night - bargain!

?????????????????????????????????????

Will beable to confirm dates tomorrow... if all ok, will book Monday evening

I've just paid and so's Bob, so the dates are concrete. Sorry about the unexpected date change, however I didn't fancy spending an extra £50 on the Ferry for the sake of it.

I've looked into whether there were cheaper tickets that could be used. Unfortunately I only found cheap prices for travelling at awkward times as one would expect. If anyone does find a real bargain, let us all know!

Cheers,

Steve

Karen again!. At the last Surrey meet Jason Smalley and Ian Stubbings said that they would be joining us on our jaunt across the channel. Jason, where did you find the cheap chunnel tickets?. Only 104 days to go!.

Replying for my partner in crime fresh from a driving skills/track day in Oxfordshire, Jason is triple booked for that weekend and the wedding takes presidence. Cheap tickets are only for a day return (£25). Overnight stay is £175. I think I may have to join you on the ferry! What price was that?

Somewhere around a ton for the ticket I believe. Shame Jason can't make it, but such is life. We'll just have to go again next year!

Steve

Stupid point, but asuming they post the tickets to you can't you just buy two day returns then for the different dates?.......

Late again:

I believe that we are up for a trip to France as well. It sounds like a great plan.

Has anyone got the specific ferry details you can pass on, just to make sure I do not book the wrong ferry

Steve_T said: Petit Dejuner to one and all (Del Boy Style),

Mrs. T and I have been trying to sort out the details of Le Surrey Run. We've looked for ferry availability for the August dates put forward, prices start at £150 and up. Tunnel was £180!!

We need a decision pronto folks. I propose that if there are no major objections to the above, by 5pm Tomorrow (March 7th), then get booking. If there is a problem then we reschedule. You're all responsible for your own bookings, to keep things simple.

See you on the boat, if not sooner.
Merci Beaucoup,

Steve.

P.S. RiverGirrl, don't forget your spurt bag.

David,

Would this be the one you were looking for further up the thread ?

Are you taking a guest on this one ?
