I went last year and it was the best motorsport event of the year for me.

I've got a ticket for Sunday, and I know that plasticpig is going because he bought his ticket the same time as I did. I will leave my mobile number on an A4 sheet on the car dash if anyone wants to meet up. Will be parking on the infield somewhere.

So, the list:

Can anyone confirm wether there is infield parking this year or not? Perhaps if anyone has been today.

Doningtons website and the contact numbers are no help, they dont do weekends.

I had forgotten about that, I just put the ticket in the glovebox, purchased at the Carrington Arms meeting and I hadnt looked at it since. Just checked it, I have an infield pass. Woohoo!

What a great day!

Had probably the best fun watching from the pits but exploring the pits and seeing the cars and teams busying away was brilliant! So glad the weather turned to our favour.

Thanks to Fort Jefferson for the ticket and lovely to meet Balmoral Green and PlasticPig again too.

Thanks for the pictures so far

Just got back from Donnington myself. What a great day, the best race event I've visited.

Great photos autofocus, I think I must have been following you around because I saw all the same carsfrom the same angles!

The best bit for me was wondering around the pit garages getting a real close look at the cars, especially the JPS F1's. IMO that's what makes this event so good, the relaxed atmosphere.

I popped along on Saturday and had a great day too, not many people which meant you could get really close to the action. Spent most of the afternoon hanging over the edge of the pit wall which was great especially with the old F1 cars zipping by.

I've posted some pictures in the photography section: here

There's a load more in my gallery here
