Kent Run 2: Sunday 15-Oct-06
Discussion
Yep was a good meet/run.
I was in the 3dr cosworth.
We was in the second convoy, the one that got lost
The cossie didnt really like some of the roads lol, could of done with sticking to mainly a and b roads really instead of narrow country lanes.
Fell in love with that mustang, would love one if I had the doller lol.

About 95% of the run was A and B roads. There were only about 5 miles worth of country lanes (out of 110 miles) but on those occasions, it was a choice between the lanes or going through larger towns and getting stuck in traffic. Of course, if you were in the second group you would have taken a few unplanned detours in both parts of the run so RM and I will make sure our tomtoms are better syncronised next time.

What did you think of the Tiger? Something that you might be looking at?
It was lovely, didn't get a chance to have a proper look, but will do next time. I've been working on a cunning plan for a second toy of late, so it's a possibility. Just got to get toy #1 sorted first!

Tell me about it, was not loving those lanes AT ALL.
Agreed, hit the bottom of the Tiger a few times, that is why the bash plate is there!

Indeed, watching the sparks shooting out from under your car almost put me into autopilot 'Mansell v Senna Barcelna '91' mode and commit to an impossible lunge up the inside. Fortunately the Cosworth was in the way.
barry j you say the nicest things, what a lovely way to spend a sunday, meeting new friends, browning your pants, nice lunch and a tug from mr plod just to finish off, perrrfecct

Just need a 2nd garage as I'd have to build one, but couldn't face being without a toy while I did. Need to take advantage of the Plumstead workshop while I'm still in the area...
The bloke that built mine said they are excellent and always helpful. Do it you know you need it in yor life
Yo yo yo!
Okay, having experienced (for some of you) two runs, is anyone up for a third?
Let us know, we know the weather is getting dicey but if you fancy it reply initially to this thread and myself and Barry will organise accordingly.

This is now essential, i decided to take the Tiger to work on Thurday being such a nice day, well i went out to the garage to start it and guess what, i would not start, it was out of petrol, i was lucky to make it home. Needless to say that night i had to suck the fuel up to the carbs, three mouth fulls later we were back in business.
