Thanks again to Craig and the gang for another supremely organised day. Nice to meet a few new faces too. Had to limp home at the lunch break running only one rotor (think half a bank on a V6) and still had more go than a few maxxers who tried it on on the way back
On the plus side a rebuild (if it's that bad) gives me an excuse to open up the porting a bit more - silver lining and all that!
Cheers, folks, see you at the next one!

Superb day Craig - managed a new Vmax best for the 997 - amazing how cars hit a level each time related to the conditions - had a series at 168 and 169 with Annmarie on board and 170 running solo - great to meet some new faces as well as the regulars - the yellow RUF was awesome - hope the "rocket" fuel doesn't cause too much damage to the other car to take the laurels on the day - one hell of a performance for a 993 derivative - if it survives intact we'll all be running on the stuff - god alone knows what a 997 derived RT12 would achieve fueled by it
Had a fantastic day at Vmax today although irritatingly my 205 Mi16 developed the largest flat spot, just when it should have 'come on cam' and no amount of tinkering would get rid of it -just got worst. Amusingly its first run was the fastest which it did with just 1 (not very tight) screw holding on the dizzy cap! I had actually seen a higher speed on my way over uphill! than I got at Bruntingthorpe! (On that well known stretch of private road officer!)
Thanks to Craig Williams for inviting Tallbloke and myself down to the event and for organising a top notch event - top bloke!
Thanks to DiscoColin for giving me a 170+ run in his GT3 Porker
Thanks to BallisticBanana for giving me a blast in his Griffith 500
And finally Tallbloke for accompanying me to Vmax
Met alot of people who were freindly and up for a laugh, hope to see you lot back there,
Mr-Scott

Thanks as ever to Craig and the VMax team for organising another fantastic day (including the weather, it seems ).
Most of all thanks to the people who make the day what it is: the breakfast stop , those who are prepared to give passenger ride and the suppliers of banter.
Experiences this time included The Flying Banana (thanks Martyn ) and the M5 (thanks Daz & Lee ).

Thanks Craig Had to be my favourite VMAX of all simply because i got to go at 191 in the passenger seat of a Carerra GT.
The most unbelievably amazing car ever, the noise that thing makes (inside and out) and the poise and speed it carries through the corners, the brutal acceleration, the brakes, the way it looks, the way it kept on going round and round without any problems. The ultimate if you ask me and now my life is ruined because i'm going to have to find a way, any way of buying one!
See you all at the next one, i'm looking forward to it already.

Yes indeed, a curiously low key affair (we're missing the Italians and sufficient Blackpool Rock afaic) but strangely more enjoyable than the last one or three, no idea why.
Hail to Craig & Co, for managing to protect the increasingly needing of protection against the ravages of communism and maintain the mindless impetus to pursue the unachievable!
Thanks to Rude G & Herr Podstam for the pendigestatory interluderties (I trust the lavatorial environs came through intact? )
Plaudits to W8 PMC for suitable progress en route (I see what your fellow eurohooners mean about the 'squat down & schnell' aspect of the beastie from a rear 3/4 perspective!)
Praise be to my good chum MOD500 for taking the 993 to levels some thought simply unattainable - yours is now a genuine 200+ banana and thanks for the insights - although a sneaky Yorkshire body swerve appears to wrestled the crown to the Penine's wrong side, you'll be delighted to know I'm steadying Enrico McWallet for another round of intercooler-cum-24/27 hybrid turbo-cum-twin sparked armageddon which will...(Nice to neet Tb993tt at last, too - what a splendid fellow and car, we really must set up a northern hoon asap (btw, you need the GT2 diffuser, I'm sure of it )
...probably still see the old bint chewing Leon Onasis's afterburners - 198? 198?? ONE NIGHTY EIGHT???
What? HOW? Destroyed - by The Force, the force of Ruf, it seems...
Anyway, back on earth, Jeremy 'not fit to mix 'is drinks' C and the sublime delights of normal aspiration via his perfect GT3. One of Nape's pricklier sound tracks on the howl and turn like a ruddy great Caterham - Jezza's driving prowess proved yet another cruel lesson in my own risible inadequacies and as ever, it was a profound lesson and complete joy. What a car that GT3 is, I really do 'get it...'
The Lord of Avon's fraternal chariot (E60 M5) provided hilarious 4-upmanship and reinforced it's searing credentials as an automotive inevitability once Dr Deprec I Ation has administered the necessary fiscal enema to the first round of lusty owners...
GregE240's venerable SL500 proceeded to charm and beguile as it romped with all the effortless glug of a Houston based convention of oil men called Slim and Digger, a properly delightful classic. Wotcha, as they say.
Finally, a certain Z4 3.0iS which saw it's driver reviving the elk based twist for purposes of sheer Needlic derangement. Smiffy's P1 exploits have simply found their match.
To those unmentioned but met, a hearty and speed on t'next 'un...

Of course, it so obviously needs 'em! (Actually, it genuinely does - you've got about 20 minutes before your top end expires!)
Nutta!
Who moi, that makes two of us,KK24/27 sounds like fun.........
Rob mate, Captain Yorks has really put the cat amongst the pidgeons with this new spec, I'm not sure how the engine dyno mapping is going to pan out but the chief constituents will have to include the turbos as said and some variation on the intercooler theme.
AF was this AM mumbling something about "a man's intercooler" and being big enough to hold a small garden party upon...
The Beetle's been puffing around like an effiminate 3 legged gazelle for the last VMax or four and it's time to reasert some nuclear credentials.
