My quote of the day was from Tertius, who solved the mystery of the difference between TVR and Porsche owners for me.

In order to make my TVR go faster I talk about installing a hotter cam or tweaking the timing.

In order to make his Porsche go faster Tertius decides to "Switch off the aircon". hehe

Maybe that's what made the 2mph difference Daniel? laugh

Well, to take the question seriously for a moment, no I don't think so as we did one run with A/C and one without - 156 both times. I think the driver is the main difference.

An amazing car, converted by Ruf. It was running impeccably and took me to 195... still speechless.

:dribble:

I take it that since it's got no gutters it's an original car rather than a post production converstion?

It was lots of fun. Thanks to Craig & team for organising and to Trackdemon for the 'educational' lap.

Looking forward to the videos and photos. Not looking forward to the bill for the new tyres.

Cheers - Erik

You`re quite welcome: you set such a high standard when you chauffeured me, I felt duty bound to `entertain` you with my poor cornering ability......great fun, must lose it more often!

Request: did the photographer on that corner get one of me "running out of talent"? I`d love to see any evidence!

Driving the compressor is extra load on the engine, but all I can say is to point out that the biggest push button on the dashboard of my 996 is the Auto button for the climate control to turn it back on after your lap...

And to all of those who "met a load of great new friendly people" ... get yourselves over to the Black Tie and Pie forum and snap up some of the remaining tickets / rooms ... then you'll be able to meet a load more! thumbup

Could be that, like my humble Mazda, the aircon is disengaged when the driver is engaged in hoonage en largesse thus turning off said comfort-giver would have no difference?

(sorry, just read a Der post)
