Usually some time in Feb, although there has been a lot of talk of alternate venues with VW car park seemingly stretched to breaking point....

From their posted opening times here www.thorpepark.com/planning_your_visit/opening_times.asp?css=2

It would look like the last chance to get their enormous carpark before season starts is the first weekend in February, assuming you want a meet up in the daylight.

Sadly, I think I may have drawn a blank on this. The venue I had in mind would probably result some blokes with beards and fluorescent jackets magically appearing to 'organise' things. That's not really the spirit of the event.

Suggestions welcome or VW as previously........

Hey all / Ted?

How about calling Warbrook House in Eversley?

http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/clar

It's in a similar area (well it is to anyone travelling from the east side of the M25! )

They were very amenable when Seloc used to run meets there of a sunday, once a month - would put on Tea, coffee - open the bar etc - even allowed access to the Croquet! lol

There were additional car parks off to the side (out of the picture) and a huge driveway that could be parked up down one side... They may be able to tell you what they believe their capacity to be and when / if they're willing to do it?

Warbrook House, a grade-1 listed traditional Georgian Manor House built in the 1720's and set in 130 acres of extensive parkland in a particularly secluded and attractive location on the Hampshire/Berkshire borders with the M3 and M4 just minutes away. www.heritage.me.uk/houses/warbrook

Agreed. Do you think VW would stand another invasion tho ? After all, we're having Fun, and thats frowned upon in most areas these days.........
