I think i'll have to disagree there, liked parking the car next to the tent, meant i could leave half the crap in the boot.

I met loads of new faces last year, i just walked over with can's off alcohol and people seemed to talk me, well until they had drink my beer for me anyway.

Cheers

Paddy

PS, whats an elite P'Header??

Somewhere to pitch my tent with the car alongside, a tap, a loo, a beer tent. That's it, i'm happy.

Yeah its good to park next to your tent, I could play some music for us. Its also good to see who owns what car so you can nab them and ask questions!

One thing I would mention about last year was that a few things went missing, my dustcaps (small thing i know) and something like a wing mirror off a porsche seems to ring a bell....

It was suggested last year & the offer was accepeted of some Drift action on the main circuit during circuit interval time. The circuit organisers had OK'd it too, though I had to cough up some 3rd party libility (££'s) This year I might to be able to arrange it so there would be no cost as some sponsors have suggested they might be able to contribute & maybe some extra stuff too

Would love to do it this year & Snet is awesome sideways at 100+ through Coram

There would be at least two of us available & I'm sure we could put on a good show for 15 odd mins out there (tyres only that long if were lucky) Feel free to check my profile for more info.

I intend to be along again this year, uni dependent, hopefully appearing more intelligent than last year.

I second that.

it would be fantastic to not have 4 big nutters in a supercharged Jag playing the "I want to kill you" game.

Just seen this thread!

Being one of the 'brave' (read: 'kin cold) ones last year, some suggestions if I may... (especially as it's at the same place).

- Toilets near the beer tent. People were having to walk over to the main block, and as a result most stayed in the main bar rather than the PH tent.
- Burger van available for tea, burgers, and bacon butties (NOT THE SITE CAFE!!!). Nobody's going there for the joy that camping brings (trying to heat a kettle with little more than a match in windy conditions, and stuffing all kinds of food into cars that barely carry a person!). Also, needs to be near the PH bit. The site cafe meant people would split and (due to the weather) stayed over that way.
- Parking etc I thought worked well (no need to organise it any other way I don't think, it was spread well).
- Goodfellaz, perfick thumbup

Skanks not stealing our food and cooking implements.

The cafe did pretty much what a burger van would do, I guess if people want to be pussies and sit in the warm they will anyway! Personally, I found the indoor BBQ fantastic!

but we didnt realy get to know any body. it wasnt as friendly as the others.

That's because you all stayed sat in your tents getting off your heads on burnt sun lounger fumes!

WTF ... as above re: too many sun lounger fumes!

Garlick - simply ask everybody not to spread out as much (and make sure they go in the correct field). Though i think most people simply pitched as close to the grass windbreak as they could yes

oh, and stick a pic of yourself on your profile ... we need to know who the gaffer is ... No, not you Claire, the other gaffer hehe

At 8pm on Friday evening in the dark it was not clear where to park so I parked closer to the cafe and toilets than some but still in staggering distance of everything. Better signage may be usefull.

IIRC it was put up in a hurry by a drunken mob working in the dark.

Well there was that problem on the 1st night but it didn't hold up to the rain and wind after that...just blew right through like being under a mossie net hehe

Note to self...learn to put up a tent or get sober people to help before dark!

hum...maybe we should invest in one of those pop up tents! Could do with something a tad bigger than last year too...it looked so diddy amongst the rest and had all our shopping piling out!

this year I will get around the problem of shopping spilling out the tent by buying less. about £50 should do it, that'd be a £180 saving to begin with mad

..hopefully the thieving pikey scum who stole my pans/food/beer/cutlery/glasses etc will experience their mother dying in a freak yachting accident
