Great to meet everyryone as always. Thanks for turning up. clap

I think we had around 18 cars turn up.

Thanks to Turbosteve for choosing a great venue. Video will be up in the next couple of days.

and...... another driveout missed by me.

This time half the cars went one way, they others another way. As my engine was cold, I could'nt go over 3,000 revs and got a little left behind. Lost track of everyone at the roundabout at tilbury. Where did everyone go to? laugh

As a newbie I'd just like to say thanks to everyone for making me feel welcome. Awesome cars and a nice bunch of owners.

Apologies that I broke down at the beginning of the drive. Throttle cable jammed half open then when I freed it off it snapped, luckily near the end of the cable. Botch of cutting down and an electrical connecting block got me home with one pitstop. Tempremental Italian engined cars eh

Looking forward to the photos.

Hi Guys,

It was a good meet, and thanks as always to Angelis for kicking the thread off, and to Turbo Steve for arranging the venue clap
(get BK to open earlier next time!!! laugh....)

Pity about the confusion over the drive... we'll get it better next time....

Me (blue Maser), Trackdemon (red NSX), Ticheri (black Gransport), and TurboSteve (Silver MR2 turbo), all took an excellent jaunt around roads Trackdemon knows around Tilbury, and ended up at his local, the Swan at Horndon on the Hill for an excellent roast lunch.... hope the rest of you had a good 'hoon'?

I'd personally like this East London meet to be a regular thing - for example, the first Sunday of every month. I like the new venue (hopefully BK will open earleir next time), and I suggest we get a bit more organised so we get more cars on the run - you guys would have enjoyed our 'blast' - some excellent roads.... driving

we've already talked about possibly a different 'hoon' on each meet, for example, a drive to Southend on Sea, into Kent (Ide Hill etc), and I'm sure between us, we can come up with suggestions to appeal....

What do we think?

And looking forward to the pics.....

Cheers,
John

Not The Swan, The Bell Inn! Recommended.

I don't see why we shouldnt do a monthly meet, attendance is not compulsory after all

also maybe we should plan the runs a bit more (somehow) or at least have a destination sorted in advance, then if people get lost or fancy a more leisurely cruise instead of trying to escape the earths gravity we can all still end up at the same place

If we don't want to post details of runs on open forum maybe we could do a mass email or pm to regulars
I am sure intelligent guys like us can sort something out laugh

Steve, yep, that's the spririt.. clap so, next one 4th March.. we should get a consistent name scratchchin

the beckton monthly meet?
the east london monthly meet?

perhaps for the next one, we can ask Trackdemon for a re-run of the route we took last Sunday, if he is free that day to 'lead the way'? you gotta admit - that was some run... driving yikes driving yikes etc

Suggest we do a fresh post for each meet, and it is initiated much as Angelis did for the last one - will you or he do this soon for the next one pls....

Cheers guys... still smiling about the madness of the 'hoon' we did!!

East London monthly meet rolls of the tongue nicely John, and yes I guess the sooner we post the next one the more notice people will have and therefore hopefully the bigger the turnout.
Trackdemon's route rocks yikes driving and if we do it again, I will print out some maps for anyone who would prefer the more gentle route so we all end up at the pub.
Sy this meet is your baby, so what do you think

Not my baby... I was just lazy enough to want to organise it 2 minutes from my house.

Next meet will be on Sunday 4th march 2007

- Meet at 10am
- Burger King opens at 11:00 pm????
- Drive out at 11:30am

Do we then drive to Tilbury and go for lunch?

We could always do different venues for lunch such as drive back to Beckton for Pizza Hut/Nando's etc.

Other stuff that we discussed on sunday....

+ ELMM (East London monthly meet) Bowling meet

+ ELMM Go Karting (any suggestions for venues? Does'nt have to be on a sunday)
