Depends if you want somehere quiet to meet at first, or somewhere a little more lively.

Quieter places.....Jersey Lily (nice pub) at the top of Whiteladies Rd (almost Blackboy Hill), few mins walk down to the next pub/bar tho

Livelier (SP?).....Babushka, right at the top, or someplace like Henry J Beans, but it can get very busy in there, or The Fine Line, which is just a few doors down.


Any other sugestions? i haven't been out in Clifton for a while so dont know of any new places

Must be fairly big and not likely to become overcrowded and shitty..????

Someone told me "Coach and Horses" - ???

Coach and Horses is an old pub off blackboy hill.

The Fine Line was boarded up when I was on Whiteladies Rd last tuesday night.

The busier places (Henry J, Beans, Henry Afrikas Hothouse etc, will have security on the doors, so we need to find somewhere people are happy to drink at for a few hours, as moving en masse aftyer say 8pm or down the road pub crawl stylee will be a very difficult.

What time do people want to kick off?

I was thinking we should have a food meeting time, and a drink meeting time in one place...

Say - 4/5pm for eaters.....7/8pm for drinkers.....

Need to work out how many diners we have and then book a table? Suggest either Henry Afrikas (steaks, burgers, fajitas etc) or Planet Pizza or one of the mexican places just up the road like Las Iguanas?. Drinkers to meet at Henry Afrikas hothouse from 7ish onwards?

If it helps with numbers I will prob come along to the drinking part of the evening only as I'm not sure what I'm doing during the day yet. There is also the possibility that Dan (Hubby) won't be able to make it. As for suggested drinking venues the only place I can think of in White Ladies is The Roo Bar which seemed to have a relaxed atmosphere. I don't know the places well enough to suggest anywhere else.

Gentlemen. A decision has to be made.

May I suggest as a starting place / remaining place / splinter group place as the pub opposite the petrol station on whiteladies, used to be babushka, or bar one, it's the one with three floors. Lots of room and generally no problems.
