Who else is bringing kids with them, and any suggestions on how to keep them occupied apart from taking the empties to the recycling bins?
My mini me is 11 and is already talking about 'what am I going to do' etc.....

My 12½ year-old son will be along. Although he's not really into cars, he's looking forward to the camping and wandering around the camp site with me.
I think he's going to bring plenty of Nintendo DS games, DVDs and the like to keep himself occupied as well.
Doubtless my wife will think up some things to bring / things to suggest as well - she's good like that and I doubt he'll get too bored.

Edit: We offered to arrange for him to stay at friends / relatives but he wants to come. It's the camping aspect he likes, I think.

My 10yr old will be in attendance, complete with Nintendo DS, PSP and if he thought he could get a wireless internet signal, the laptop aswell.

He sometimes watches the racing aswell.

Shhhhh. Mine knows I have a 3G/GPRS wireless card for my laptop but so far hasn't asked if I can bring it.

OK - my 3 and 5 yr olds will be there. I have a 52" plasma on a stand with DVD player. Why don't we all bring a couple of DVDs and we can set the TV up in a corner of the marquee (with some chairs) and we can have 'sessions' where we play films. Maybe all bring some (microwaveable)pop corn and they can have 'film-time' a couple of times a day. It will give them something to look forward to?

Maybe we need a mini-games for the kids and someone to manage it. Maybe I am out of touch but a sack race, wheel barrow race, etc.? I will be busy racing but if there are kids there we should try to make it fun for them too.

Thoughts/suggestions?

Sounds like a plan......Kids footy, PSP tournament, who can carry the most empty bottles (hehe) AND we need to find a volunteer babysitter , I have a lovely one but with Vixpy being there maybe not!

True, he didnt mix very well with the other kids last year, I dont know why. Although he does like hanging around with the likes of minimax, pwig et all yikes hehe and he loves the silly and rude late night pisstaking and conversation.

I didnt think he would want to come this year, but he's really keen, this year i've told him there are other kids are going and he seems happy to be a bit more gregarious this time around.

I think we're on to something here. I showed my 4 year old Vixpy's picture... She grinned and started sharpening the funnel on her Thomas the Tank Engine!
