oh yes! Do they publish the line-up (i.e. the car lists) before the event? I have been on the Goodwood website but cant find anything.

no,i dont think so because the list wouldnt be accurate as some cars might not actually make the festival due to unforeseen problems.

the only thing you are probably garrenteed is that:-

1.its going to rain at some point during the weekend and your going to end up soaked

and

2.it doesnt matter what is due to show, there are so many beutiful cars that what doesnt turn up is irrelevent.

So what is the difference between the saturday and the sunday?

I quite fancy going but as I'm in Scotland it might be worthwhile going both days, but is there any point? Will I just see the same things?

Yes and no!
Basically the past times I have been the cars that run up the hill are the same everyday. The line up is the same,
some cars are "timed" i.e they go hell for leather against the clock,
some are "demo" i.e they ponce up the hill and are not timed.
Others are "static", i.e they sit in the paddock all weekend.

Of course different things happen on different days, for instance last year the F1 cars took it in turn to do a fast run (to show just how quick they go), a show off run (they stop next to each grandstand and drop the clutch) etc etc.

Basically I would recommend driving down on Sat, get a B and B or a campsite, have a chill, few beers, then hit hillclimb early Sun morning.
