So you can disply your car if you want, I get it

Give me a bloody slow on the uptake award if you must

Sorry Ted, bump on the head at the weekend

Is this the case cos it looks to me that the pass enclosure is entirely separate to the camping area

To drive your vehicle from the main entrance road (next to the public car parks) & then turn right, down the approach road towards the PistonFest enclosure, you will require a PistonFest Car Pass. You will be able to move your vehicle from the PistonFest Dispay Enclosure (the red area) to the campsite, so you will be able to park your vehicle next to your tent if you wish to.

If you choose not to purchase a PistonFest Car Pass, your vehicle movements will be restricted to the Public parking area only.

Hopefully this information helps.

Ok, so scenario is, i'll probably be coming, on my own (woohoo!), but in the astra. I'll be arriving on the saturday night, camping, drinking, and wandering on the sunday. I'll be parking the astra as far away from the exotica as possible, so i'm guessing thats the public car parks on the map.

How far away is that, and will we have temporary access to drop kit off etc instead of trapesing through the fields to find the PH area?

Cheers, Tony

Sorry for the confusion chaps. My fault - first event like this that I've done and I should have done better on the initial communication of what car passes were about.

This is the score:

  • As you enter the site, parking for vehicles NOT displaying a PistonFest Pass will park on the left side of the entrance road in the public car park.

  • If you wish to turn right, towards the PistonFest enclosure and campsite, you will require a PistonFest Vehicle Pass.

  • If you wish to camp but leave your car in the public car park then it's about 200 yards to walk.

We've set it up like this for the following reasons

  1. To avoid general public vehicles entering the PistonFest Enclosure

  2. To attempt to ensure that all PH members feel as secure as possible about their vehicles, ensuring that they are parked up with fellow PHers.

  3. The owners of the venue have also laid new roads and flattened ground out specifically for our use so we need to control the routes used.

  4. To ensure that traders and PH members giving test drives on the public roads around the venue can move as freely as possible in and out of the venue.

If anyone has an issue with the ticket packages they've bought already then please email me directly and I'll ensure everything is sorted to your satisfaction.

Now I understand!

So, having the pass allows me to park next the tent (I wont be entering the Fiesta into any show competitions this year)

Seems to me that £10 is a small price to pay to know that the person parked next to you (whatever you're driving) is someone who gives a sh1t and is unlikely to barge their door open into your pride and joy...

Although don't park too close to my Noble - it's a bugger to get out of without the door fully open!
