Yeah

hehe
rofl You cheeky sod!

How old do I look then Mrs T?
I thought you'd be in your thirties. I don't know how old you look because everyone between the age of 18 to getting wrinkles looks the same age to me.

Hung around with the usual Northants crowd, that being:

Matt172 & Miss Diane
And the famous Mr & Mrs Trackside

Also good to catch up with Emmap (p.s thank you for helping myself & Owen with our tent)

New peeps I met were.

rviant & AnnaS - All the best Anna in your travels to China, sure it will be amazing.
Uncle Dave - Made me feel old, expected you to be older than myself. hehe
alikat - Very short intro but met you just the same
blueyonder - Good company very chatty & freindly chap
matt & alfie - Think you both had one too many by the time we had met
Dave with the bright coloured Lupo (sorry didnt know your PH title)

Shame about the weather we bailed out on Sunday! Brave people who stayed on till today.

Was I anything like it?

I'm guessing probably not... hehe
Actually, mostly as expected. A lot stricter with the hired help, mind, but I can absolutely see why. Damn good to meetcha.
Felix had a cracking time too, but he could have been slightly more gentle in waking me on the Sunday morning...

It's an absolute bugger having a PA attatched all the time - if I'm honest I absolutely hate it although the alternative is far far worse. It made me feel really uncomfortable when she started drinking without discussing it with me first, and it's very difficult to manage stuff like that in such relaxed social situations - I was getting more and more tired and consequently quite anxious, having trouble with my joints and feeling like the whole employer-PA relationship was slowly slipping out of my control. Not relaxing.

Nopey - at the moment I employ three, who work about 14, 5 and 5 hours a week, respectively. I'm only funded for 24 hours a week (just over 3.5 a day) support at the moment and have an appeal (to city council Adult Care Services yuck ) ongoing to try and get a few more.

I learnt some good things for next time, though - I might try and see if I can budget to take two PAs so that I can make sure I'm not spending too much time with either of'em.

hehe I am liking that idea... it'd be a total hoot!

I am thinking the combined PF mechanical knowhow is probably vastly superior to that of my rehab technician...

Actually, once I get me a powerchair I am seriously going to need an electrical engineer to hack into its control box and remove the speed limiters. No joke. 4mph? Pah. I know perfectly well they can manage 8 if not 15 competently.

If it's an electronic jobbie then be tricky, easier to bypass it with a different speed controller. The older ones are just some sort of pointometer thingie and resistors... I'll have Sadako bring his soldering irons biggrin

My mate that I share the RX7 with owns a mobility equipment company, he can plug into most of his chairs & scooters to change sttings like top speed, acceleration rates etc. No help to you though (we are in Perth) but ask the company you get it from.

And the suspension! Don't forget the upgrade mantra...

1. Brakes.
2. Suspension.
3. Then power!

They have an annual race here at one of the nursing homes for electric scooters (not the same as a chair, I know) When Russ was selling Australian made scooters a few years ago he dressed in a koala suit and drove a delimited scooter! (He faked a crash/fall off before the end so one of the oldies could win wink ) His showroom is minutes from his house, more than once we have been at a BBQ at his place and taken a bunch of scooters for a drunken hoon around the suburb driving

I managed to meet about 3 new people and 100 old friends, and still didn't manage to introduce myself to JonRB. Doh!!

Big Dub...top bloke

Oh, I was the guy probably mostly in the Caterham jacket (there were two of us...I had no glasses) in the tent near the beer tent (that blew over. Doh!)
