Perhaps not, but I would like to see someone having something worse than a lime green interior (tbh I quite like it ). Also I think the poor attempts at donuts would show it off a bit too - bloody traction control!!! Did half donut/ half tc no power/ half donut etc etc. Must have looked bizarre seeing the little car like that

Shame you didnt get to have a proper go in it though, dont know why you were so critical of your driving, seemed great to me. Will have to let you drive it on a few of the roads you know - hopefully it'll have a bit more power then too

On that note, thanks Dazren hes got in contact with me already! time for more power

I thought the PF T shirts were a good idea, except the names should be on the front not the back !

I now know what the back of Flashers, CarZee and Mr's CarZee's head look like, but I've no idea what they look like from the front

Me and my two mates had a cracking time. Putting up our 3 room tent was a challenge!

I was terribly disappointed in the overall facilities - namely the lack of loos , the health implication of the ones that did exist! AND any decent grub.

Enjoyed "attempting" grass donuts in my M3 and decided afterwards it's best to keep the windows closed next time

All those lovely TVR's makes me want another one

Thanks for organising the event Ted - hopefully the next one will be bigger and better AND more people will come along

We were camped over next to what became the donut area - very entertaining. Not quite the "quiet corner away from most of the noise" that we envisaged, but never mind.

I hope our camping "neighbour" got his silver P555 Impreza sorted out. That lumpy running and clouds of black smoke looked a bit worrying.

Ooooooooooh and the fact there were no litter bins in the camping enclosure.

So, how did everyone manage to make it into the field OK but i leave my exhaust behind?!
The fiesta must have been the higgest riding car at the event and I was not going fast!

Sounds better without an exhaust though!

I thought Ted had arranged it as part of the entertainment.

Good to camp next to you guys - we were the ones trying to find our mates car keys on Sat night when you came back to your tent.
After searching the campsite by torchlight we guessed they were in the boot of the car.
A quick trip to Portsmouth and back on Sunday morning for the spare set - i did tell our mate that if he'd wanted a trip in the car he could have just asked.

Robp I don't know how you managed to loose a bit of your exhaust I guess you were just unlucky finding a deep rut in the ground.

I have to say that I was very impressed in the way that car or yours kept up with the convoy when when we were catching the main pack. Are you sure its standard under the bonnet? are you getting it fixed or do you like the new throaty sound you've gained.

"What a conceited post."

Yeh, gotta go with Cupra on this. After all, it was the Nostalgia Nationals.

At one point about 6 or seven mudguard less rods were parked up behind the grandstand, complete with drivers and hangers on in baggy turned up Levi's, boots and white T-shirts + slicked back hair, and the 'mols' were also dressed in 'period' costume. Looked great.

If u had taken a photograph, it was poor fifties, American Graffiti and all that....fun!!!

And the preparation on most of the cars was awesome -to use an old cliche, 'u cld eat yr dinner off them!!'

p.s. why didn't people put signs in their car saying which car belonged to whom ? Saw virtually no signs, so spent ages wandering round looking at lots of nice cars, but having no idea what belonged to who !

I thought this would be a good idea, as people's car generally get displayed more on PH than their fissog, so easier to spot the car and match the person, than find the person without the car!

Had mine in my car. Printed off the Union Flag with PH logo and name on it and suck in the rear window. Also a larger version on the front screen.

Melv, I apologised for that comment earlier today in this topic and retracted the comment, you'll find.

Great event.....

Must say overall it exceeded my expecations and will definatelly do another one.
On the linking front I quite liked the V8 Nostalga boys and would much prefer this then than the Max power lads (no offence intended as I am one but they attract some real idiots).

One loo is a bit silly, maybe OK for guys but I felt for the girls.

Terrain was a bit lumpy but that's part of camping!

Shame I couldn't get an all nighter in the tent (arrived 11:30pm) as it seemed to be rocking when I arrived.

Main grumble, two cars doing doughnuts near the bear tent at 1 in morning, one of which didn't even have any lights on.... very dangerous

Overall Good one.

I agree with pretty much everything already said, had a great time and have to thank Ted and all involved.

the loo - didn't see it but surely it couldn't have been as bad as the one in the American Cars section. had to walk through there on tip-toes to avoid soaking the bottoms of my jeans with piss

the burger van - scary women who didn't plan well enough, ran out of food and got all 3 of my orders wrong

Hi I was in that group I had the grey RB5.

The cars in this morning for some diags it would appear that the airflow or co2 meter has gone.

That'll teach him to do 2G donuts

Well, I never knew such speeds were possible in a 60hp shopping trolley! I found that moving the floormat helped

It must have been amusing for a car on the motorway as a Tiv flies past over a ton, followed by about 10 more, then a 360........then a westfield with two occupants looking scarred.......then a punto and a fiesta

I could not keep up off the roundabouts though, a few times you flew past me!

It wont pass its MOT like that so I can only leave it for a few weeks and I am a bit worried about exhaust gasses poisioning me! It was so much fun though, I might risk looking like a M*X P**ER gimp and buy a better exhaust!

Same here, had my flag and PH name in the windscreen. It should be encouraged, either that or we all change are PH names to our registration numbers!

Yeah, got back OK, the intention to take it easy because of the exhaust did not last long I think i'll leave it a while before fixing it!

Cheers for the ride in the Chim, we'll all have to meet up for a pint in Notts sometime
