Dash for the Coast - 18th May

Compliments to the organiser, i think it's already all said before but i'll cant help repeating it.
Excellent run, it's been long since i had so much fun in a car, and it was a very good oppertunity to see what my new car (got it 4 days ago) had in stock.
Was very impressed by the amount and differency or cars turning up, especially when all of a suddon those vipers turned up.
I love vipers, as a good i had my room filled with viper posters (Red RT10 beeing the favorite) and though i've seen them and sit in them during holidays in the USA i've never seen one in either Holland or over here.
I took 342 photo's in total of which you'll find a couple here below.
It was a bit confusing when not long after the start my group splitt up, a couple cars went left and i follewed to 2 in front of me (the pontiac and the grey lancer).
Luckily the pontiac new we were going and i quiet enjoyed "my group" which got even beter when i saw a viper appear in my mirror.
I can't wait to see the video's clips taken by the couple people with camera's if seen on the side of the roads.
Hopefully see most of you at the Kent run in 2 weeks.

Just joined up today after seeing & hearing all you guy's come steaming past my house close to the sailing Club yesterday. Fantastic selection of cars, my son & I managed to track you all down to the sailing club.
Took a load of pictures myself, and will attempt to post them here later on.
Like to hear from the guy with the Aston who had a mini camera set up on his hood, please let me know the make of your set up, and where to purchase?
Will keep a look out for further future meets, and will hope to join up with you then with my beloved Volvo V70 'R' AWD.
How do I attach pictures within this thread please?
Regards
David

I thought that was yours when looking through the pics. Nice to see yours still has the original wheels as well - see a lot of random after market ones that just don't look quite right IMO. I like the go-faster stripes too!jellison said:

a) Welcome to PH!b) That would be Akers with the little AMV8 and the bullet cam by the A-pillar.

There are also much cheaper and simpler devices, such as the ATC2000 which give very similar results. Available from http://www.fastfilms.co.uk

really wondered just how the day was gonna turn out after i drearily sprinkled salt all over my weetabix in the dimmly lit kitchen at my Cousins stayover in East Horsley...DOH! (they never heard the wrong turners that ended up through E. Horsley - you weren't trying!)
That would probably be me leading that group back on track. I took it easy through E Horsley as the in laws are from there so kept the revs down, however once back on route we made up for it.Medic 1! thanks i did tag you at the back of your group for a while so there's footage in the pipeline!
gonna have a nosey on the kent run . . .

If that was a silver TT, the pace was just perfect for my old gal, especially after the brakes started smelling really bad and stopping distance doubled (as jimmyb no doubt saw when I nearly scooped up his little mini at an unexpected junction!). It's amazing how drum brakes and a 35 year old chassis can make 60mph feel like 90! Gassing Station | Events & Meetings | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
