Would you like me to bring No6?

Due to an unfortunate incident involving a 160mph straight, a left handed kink, a crest, a four wheel lock-up and a tyre wall, No 6 will be staying in and washing its hair. Well having its bodywork substantially rebuilt anyway....

Having had a similar accident at Castle Combe I reckon it was quarry corner by the sounds of that description ! Been there as a passenger, and consequential damage wrote the TVR off that I was in. Build them Tuscans tough then !

Looks like I may miss Sunday depending on the times of the WSB from Assen as Hodgson will win the world title this weekend, will try and pop out in between though ...

Quarry it was!

It was mainly fibreglass damage, front, side and most of the rear. Did a rose joint or two, a couple of engine mounts (the chassis had stopped, but the engine still wanted to keep moving!) the radiator/oil cooler mount and the steering rack - but otherwise no mechanical bits. So we got it out for the races.

Has been very time consuming repairing it - I spent all last weekend and every night this week on it, and I'll be there all this weekend too. Still, it will be better and lighter that ever when we're finished.

Which is nice

Won't make it on Sunday now chaps. Have to work on my fibreglass rash Have a good meet!

Well, a pleasant afternoon was had by all, I think. Certainly Copper and Zulu had a good time! Bet those swans and geese are still talking about that nutter puppy that came tumbling into the water. The Andrex Puppy Lives!
I think today was 'Other Car' day - I brought the Golf (ready for Copper, who had a swim planned) JeremyC and Alison slummed it in their RS4...and EdT in the Jazz Blue Golf...nice Viszla, btw!! See you all soon

Yup, fun lunchtime - not too packed.

Over by 3.30 though, so sorry to those that were thinking of coming at 4 or later.

Pistonhounds... LOL

PS Never managed to ask how the nurburgring went Carolyn?

Shame I missed it I finished work at 4 in Burnham. Never mind.
Did see a Reflex Purple Tuscan S drive past work at about 3.30. Anyone who went? Also heard what I thougth was a 355 and saw the back end of an older 911 (poss turbo) going through Burnham about 5 mins before the Tuscan.

Hi Melv, how are you?? We will have to get a hound meet organized, at a place that is car-friendly, and has plenty of space for the dogs to run. I figure it's going to be the Great Park, as the location is good, and plenty of room for the hounds...stay tuned!
