Sounds like a plan

For those of you coming from further north who may not know it, Wooley Edge services are just south of J39 on M1.

How about doing a stop at Donnington to do a second pick up if there are a few of us meeting there?

al.

Hi Al

Nice to meet you at Denby Dale the other week

What about petrol stops? I assume Donnington will sell Optimax / some sort of Super unleaded

Fuel stop??

You mean your fuel tank won't make it to BTandP without a refill?

Yes it probably would but would be nearly empty after 170 odd miles. I don't know the Daventry area at all, so don't know where Optimax / superleaded is sold - don't want to risk running out.

By filling up at Donnington which is approx. 75 miles into the journey, it would mean I would have to fill after 60-70 miles on the homeward journey - which is plenty of motorway time to find services and for me to hopefully begin to recover from the night before

Trust me Martyn and Jess - you are going to get at least 230 miles on a full tank unless something is very poorly in your engine

That's the minumum I got on the run down the Spain and I was averaging a lot faster speed than we'll be doing on the way down to BTandP.... oh, and I fill up as soon as it hits 1/4 tank just to be on the safe side.

Then set off an hour early and have a blast over Woodhead Pass to meet me and then on to meet the rest of the crowd at Wooley Edge.

What's new, you're always up for making a pass The fact that your car obviously has the morals of an alley cat quite frankly comes as no surprise at all

Scoobs, it's no good chasing Jess, you know she'll let anyone in a flash car catch her

Oh, and she also wimps out at the merest thought of a bend in the road

WOODHEAD PASS IS PROBABLY LESS DANGEROUS THAN THE MANCUNIAN WAY!..... however, infinately more fun

We all still on for meeting at Wooley Edge services for the Yorkshire run down - bobble hats and gloves at the ready D)

Scoobs, where you coming from?

I've just found out that the only other 2 I knew were going from the NW (Lois and Pat) are not now going. So I might pop across the M62 or A50 and meet the rest of you.

What are the final plans / times for the NE or Yorks gang?

P.S. I'll have SatNav

Are you planning on stopping anywhere, like Donnington services?
