Sunday lunch sounds good, maybe more people would come as it's not after work.

Whats all this talk of a Sunday meet? There's enough of those already, most of which some of us cannot make as we are working, definatly come to the next midweek thing.

I work Sundays too ....but don't start till 5pm
I think the idea of a Sunday meet was so we could all look at each others cars in the daylight ...so we could see them properly...in all their glory
Rather than our feeble attempts last night...when it was very dark and cold.

Oggs and I started the talk about a weekend meet / run. It came up for the same reason others have covered here: It's dark of an evening and you can't really get to see the other cars very well (Mind you with my Jag, that may be best ).

I've no intention of changing the LB Beer-n-Meet into "just another weekend thing", I think it's great having a night in the week where we can meet up and have a and . However, we've been asking about to see what people thought about making one month's meet on a Sunday lunchtime.

Of course, if FWD gets his finger out and arranges an MK meet for a Sunday, then it will save me doing any extra organising (hint hint!!!)

In that case lets go for another Willen Lake meet up - loads of free car park space, and a decent spot for a pint and some grub. Easy to get to from the motorway for those coming from further afield, and if people want to bring families, there are things for them to do too.

Opinions people? I think we had 20 or so people at the last (first) one.

Well volunteered Tony!

In the words of KC "if you organise it, they will come"

Ok I shall be checking out Caldicote Lake then, for purely research purposes

But it'll be easy to do a Willen Lake meet again.

I went to a mini meet at Caldicote early in the year, which although bought up on PH was organised by the Lotus BBS, and was predominantly elises with a couple of VX220's tagging along too (I was the sole TVR envoy, without a TVR!). Good venue, nice size car park and once again free, and although I didn't go inside the reports on the grub and black stuff were good from the pub.

Eithers/Eithers really - what the hell - BOTH! Meet at one, little convoy around MK to the other? Worth it for the video opportunity!

You missed the action!!
Someone may be able to fill in better, but from what I gather Noodles spotted a dodgy looking getaway car with lights off and a car alarm going off with suspect running towards getaway car, he managed to get the registration plate. When we went back to car park there were two piles of broken glass on the floor, so I guess it must be a dodgy area for that stuff, or the theives had a good night. (Not so good if they got caught)

What incident?

Some scallywags commited thievery against an innocent car stereo. Noodles galantly gave chase, throwing all caution to hell as he showed his best leg on the road. All to no avail, as the bounders had an idling steed to carry them to safety...

I just saw loads of broken glass and made sure I parked under both CCTV cameras.

The lights did flicker in the pub about 9pm, thought that was probably you

I'm sure Noodles will turn up eventually and give the full statement ....but he only witnessed it because Sheepy had chosen the most anti-smoking pub in the whole of Beds, Bucks and Herts...so Noodles had nipped out for a fag....as the very small smoking area was bereft of ashtrays....so that's how his little adventure started.

Was a Vauxhall that got broken into...i think - the scrote left the sports cars alone

Good to see you all on Monday.

Regardless of the day I'll endevour to be at the next meet. May even bring the Tiv next time.

Yeah it was an 03 reg vectra that was broken into.
The rear door glass was on the floor, don't know if the scrotes did their homework as doors were probably deadlocked and there aint many cars that that stereo will fit. Unless some one knows any different.

So basically, if we want another meet, we need to help you pay for a new dash!
