Put the hammer down and step away from the car, put your hands behind your head.
12 hours is not a long time putting the dash back

I have just had to take the afetnoon off work (shame!) to drive to Ampthill to make a statement about the incident I witnessed at the Fox that night involving a getaway car, a thieving oik and a suitcase.

They have advised in future not to leave cars (particularly nice ones) in the area when dark as it is a hotspot for vandalism and break-ins.

Perhaps a more secure venue is called for.

Hmmmm.... I smell evil-doings. Trace back the trail of lies and deception, through all the fences and sharks and what it the kingpin of the car theivery operations has a nickname of "sheepy"

I'm betting the clapped out XJS is a front, and his garage is full of exotic machinery and racks of stereos. The F50 that was stolen in Europe? I haven't seen sheepy posting much recently... Maybe he had a business trip overseas?

We need a safer venue, how about a pub in Marsh Farm?

Hummmm and Sheepy does always seem to be re-spraying his car different colours?

Is there a Pub on the Lakes Estate in Water Eaton, Bletchley? Or has it been burnt down..........again?

Is anyone up for a daytime cross-MK burble sometime in October then? As for an alternative venue for the evening meet up, I've cycled past the Grove Lock a few times over the last week or so, and the humps aren't too bad, so that could be worth a go too should the Fox be too much of a risk...

Grove Lock? Do you mean the 3 Locks Pub or is there another to which I'll then respond "Oh.....yeah that one!" when I realise which one it is

Gits

I was thinking either Five Bells @ Stanbridge or Grove Lock for the next evening meet. Date will depend upon when I can be bothered sorting something out If FWD / Bigtone sort out a weekend run for October, then the next evening meet will probably be in November.

Having been to the Fox, I'm probably never going back! I wasn't taken with the beer, the staff or the security of the car-park (or the lack of smoking areas)

As for being the "kingpin" of local car theft, I could give a few names more likely to be involved, but PetrolTed would probably bin my post

I won't even rise to Trouser's "clapped-out" dig over my Jag, especially from someone with a clapped-out Golf! I'm posting less often, because I'm trying to spend less time on here. I'm not succeeding very well, I'm currently in a meeting with a key customer, but I'm still on PH

New pub, instead of turning towards Ledburn after leaving the bypass, continue toward Tring / Cheddington. About two or three hundred yards after the Ledburn turn, then you will see the entrance to the new place. Used to be an abandoned / empty house on the canal.

Don't worry, we're not going there again.

So i wasn't the only one wingeing about the massive no-smoking area then

Might be a good idea to do a rota system for guard duty at the next one

Or find a nice village pub...where the scrotes don't go

I went there for my school leaving drinks! The car park is pretty grotty and I even grounded my old Nova once or twice back in the day.
Probably not a good option for us grown up sportscar drivers...

I shouldn't mention this as I haven't got the money yet, but I sold my NSX tonight I just don't know who to and for how much Weeks of nothing and now two people are having a little bidding war between them

It's not "the three locks"

Grove Lock is a much nicer new pub on the south-side of Leighton. "The Three Locks" is a grotty dive of a pub between Linslade and Stoke Hammond.

That's the plan, the only other option is a Cerbera really, but I think i'm more of a Griff kinda guy.

I just need to get in there before FWD does

p.s. When are we going to the three locks then?
