better idea:

From Dunstable, head up to Toddington on the A5120. At the Church in Toddington, turn left onto Park Road towards Toddington Manor / Milton Bryan. At Milton Bryan, turn right on the A4012 toward Woburn. in Woburn, turn left onto Leighton Road and follow until you hit the Flying Fox just before the A5.

The back way from Toddington to Milton Bryan has some lovely straights and very twisty bits Only problem is if you get stuck behind a numpty, but they're usually doing 30 , so passing isn't an issue.

Sheepy since you're such a good route planner....
could you get a bigger map posted of Woburn...and the Flying Fox in the same pic

Coming up that direction to-day, spotted a turn-off to the left 1.5 miles to Potsgrove just after Woburn Safari park entrance (which was on the right) - so I'm assuming that's the one to go up

Does this help

If not, look at the map of Woburn in the posting for Oggs, I've placed the arrow over the turning to take in Woburn.

OK I don't get home till about 6.15pm on a Monday...will mail you directions to my house - will take about 35 mins max (approx 20 miles) to get to the Flying Fox...so plenty of time to change from work clothes into more casual gear at my house.

Sheppy, any chance of some brief directions to the FF from Ayelsbury(?)?

I can help you out on that.

Take the Aylesbury road A418 towards Leighton Buzzard, then after you have passed through Wing, you'll come across a roundabout turn right, this is the A505 LB bypass go all the way down it then turn left, you will now be on the A5 heading towards Hockliffe. After you have gone through Hockliffe turn right at the first roundabout you come across then first left into the Flying Fox!

Easier than going through the centre of LB, unless you want to looking at the map.

Follow the A418 towards LB, then do a right onto the 505 until you get to the A5. Do a left and keep going until you get a roundabout, do a left then first right.

Couple of notable things in LB this morning on the way to work:

1 - Grey C reg Jag XJS with a PH sticker on display!!!!!! In years of membership only the second i've seen on the road by chance. Spotted on the Hockliffe Road roundabout

2 - Leaving town towards Wing, just on the A418 from the 505, Black Ferrari Enzo with trade plates - Cracking looking motor - anyone here?!
