How about the 11/12 Oct.

I say this because 18th is DavidGerald Open day and 19th is West Midlands clubs meet at the Bulls Head in meriden.

Plus it's only 3 weeks away which is long enough to wait

do you think Doug et al know that England play South Africa at 1pm on the 18th? I've been to the last 2 open days at David Gerald (and ended up buying a 4.0 Chim the first time), but will have to seriously reconsider this year...

Or, if you want the 12th of october, its the East Mids TVRCC club monthly meet at Lowdham (about 10 miles north of the Wild Ox) How about swamping that, then?

So, anybody know any pubs etc in the Brum/Coventry area with a half-decent car park, then?

Hi just joined PH, the Griff meet up sounds like a good starting point. Count me in, if I can I will be there.

How about the pub just round the corner from David Gerald, on their open day? We'd never all get in their car park, but we might all get in the pubs'.

IIRC that's in Worcestershire - too far west!

I live in Coventry, so if someone could give me an idea of the potential numbers of cars that might turn up to such an event, I'll have a search around for a suitable venue. One does spring to mind, it's a Harvester type pub, largish car park, with a McDonalds next door, on the A444 about 3 miles from Junction 3 of the M6, there's also another large car park very close for the cinema and bowling alley. Is permission usually sort for these type of events, or does everyone just turn up ??

Another venue, is a Pub half a mile from my previous suggestion, that has a small field/parking area. This venue is used for a monthly car meet that I attend, so no probs with pi**ing others off and permission would be easier to get.
