No it's not the "Griff House", that's the hotel actually on the island, the pub is the "Griffin Inn" a few hundred yards further along the Coventry road towards Bedworth. It does get confusing even for a local. Bad news about the date though, looks like the 12th Oct is already booked. What about the week before, the 5th Oct ??

OK with me, just has a quick count up, if everybody turns up, so far we're on 32 Griffs.

It is very confusing as they have the same postcode and show up on Multimap as being in the same place.
Try this link and scroll down to Griffin Inn. Again address and map included.

www.pathfinderpubs.co.uk/county/Warwickshire.htm#

Griff House would be more apt though.

I'm sorry... but there is no way you can drive a Griff in flip flops! I know, I've tried, it was very embarassing

Date is cool - only 10 days away wehay

Thing is, I have to work out how many miles I have left before having to renew the insurance 4 months bl**dy early! Must leave enough to get to BTandP!

So, Wixer, are you going to check out the pub for the 5th on our behalf, then?

Tempted to come from Jersey if this is going to be the "Adhoc Griff Meet!". Will need know now the actual date as a change of date will cost me in region of 500 griff tokens and an equal amount of brownie points with the Misses. This could be the one (that grand child will be told stories about)!

Wixer if you can Re-con the Pub see what its like and if they are happy with a load of us turning up and wether the Carpark is big enough.
The Name of pub is very apt

It's sorted, just been to the pub (Griffin not to be confused with the Griff House Hotel) and the date's in their diary for the 5th October. The pub opens at 12.00 but the car park is always open.
So that's a Griffith Get together, at the Griffin, at the Griff !!

Just thinking, is a group of Griffiths a "gathering" or a "growl"?

I like "growl", myself.

Hope I've still got mine by then! A guy is coming to look at it today - shall I put him off?

"Yeah mate, it breaks down all the time and leaks like a paper umbrella...."

Tell him he can't have it for 2 weeks - bet you he'll wait. I waited 2 weeks for mine.

BB - if you can draw up a succinct conclusion to all this and confirm it's really going to happen, let me know all salient points and I'll mail it round my Region. Suggest other ROs might like to do the same?

How did I manage to miss seeing this? Can you add me to your list as well. I like the sound of a going to a Griff Growl.
