The Ultima has no rear window so I can't see how I can help. I could of course slow down for a few runs!

Maybe a little necky I know but I've got to go to a wedding on Saturday in Nottingham and its the law that I get pissed, its also a shame to have an XKR for the weekend and not try it out, any chance I could turn up when its a bit quieter like mid afternoon bung a few quid in the pot and do a couple of full speed runs ???????? (oh yes its a loan car so I think a full on trackday might be taking the piss a little )

Mels got me thinking...

Its an odd request I know, but (for a reasonable fee) could I do just one single 1/4 mile or whatever distance run against whatever is the fastest car there???

I just want to have my smart getting obliterated by a proper supercar on video. I was hoping to do it at the last PistonFest until the RWYB idea was killed off!!

It would be nice to just give a real world demonstration as to how fast supercars really are. (depending on the cost of course- very skint student )

Regarding my BMW 540i...

Depending on the type of car the limiter only works in 6th gear, go past 155 in 5 and then change to 6 and hey presto !!

Ummm, first, it's an auto, so no 6th! Secondly and thirdly, I still face the issue that the tyres could go bang somewhere north of, er, whatever it is they're rated for, and my brakes are nearly at the end of their life. (And given the current state of the auto box, that'd probably let go too )

So I'll be spectating.

hi, if you're on here today and you're off to brunters tomorrow - could you please forward to me(via my profile ) the mail craig sent out to you all yesterday. (I was out of office yesterday so no email).

Please please please don't post it on the board as it contains phone numbers which I'm sure those concerned would not appreciate being made available public!

Can't wait til tomorrow, see y'all there

Hello
Maybe too late for this?
A freind of mine (RS4) is running @ Bruntingthorpe tomorrow trying for Vmax run..
If there are places is it too late maybe?

Car is a modded Seat Ibiza Cupra (don't laugh)
It is running 350bhp however, does 60 in 5sec, and 100 in 10sec and is capable of 170+mph.

Any chances?
cheers
regards
Bill

badger,
certainly were places last thing I heard. If your friend is running tomorrow he should be able to contact craig to guarantee you a place. Otherwise if you're there for 9.30 you will probably be fine anyway.
see you there

All.. I'm scrounging a lift with Guy (Blue Satin.. black Ultima) and should be bringing all my video goodies (the same stuff that Griff2be taped to his Tuscan racer recently). If anyone wants some in car footage (as long as you dont mind a little gaffer here & there) just come & find me

Regards
Ed

Bloody jayzus!!!!!!! Does that thing shift.....
One of the most impressive cars there today.

Nice to put a few more faces to names. Iguana, Dontlift, Joust and Derestrictor (amongst others of course).

Even nicer to have a ride in Daz's and Derestrictor's insanemobiles. Thank you gentlemen.
