I was going to bid on the F40 that's up in the Coys auction but don't need to now. Even so, have too much on to go I'm afraid. I am still doing my company year end accounts - work and no play!

Excellent. I think it is important to set a definate date now so people can plan for the day. Of course despite best intentions, there will always be some who cannot make a certain date e.t.c

I know no date will be perfect but mothers day is a really bad idea. You will exclude far more people that day than would be going on the millau trip for instance. No amount of creative negotiation will convince my wife that the ideal mothers day gift is me leaving her on her own with the children for half the day.... oh and would she mind terribly knocking up the mothers day lunch for when i get back.

I think you are right TC. For me, it's a morning trip down the road (5 min) with Rory in tow. Couldn't have made it if it was a bit of a drive away.

For those without wives... this is a big one for them, and means a long lie without the kids, and lunch with them.
