Dont blame me for that one Joust, I was flashing my lights like a maniac trying to get everyone in front of me back on the right road...all that work Jeremy & Steve put into the route & some people were still having trouble!

By the way, who was it disappeared in a cloud of tyre smoke on the loop...everyone OK?

Yup. Was myself & Phil. The smiles were most probably frozen on. My thumbs still feel like they've got frostbite!

Top day.. apart from the M25 revisit!

Ed

Bah! Bummed that I "missed" you Scoobysnack - yeah, that was my first Surrey Run and I blagged the passenger seat in Ed's Griff, bloody good day out, loved every minute of it!!!

Dear Mr Wheeler,

Further to my visit to Racing Green today I would like to offer my assistance in test driving, and reviewing the new Typhon for the Sprint magazine, in order to offer the readers an impartial insight into your newest beast to hit our roads.

So, what do you think my chances are .....??!!

OH LORD, won't you buy me a TVR TYPHON, my friends all have Jap Crap - I must make amends !

Some of the best roads yet I think, particularly the loop back on ourselves from Midhurst (after we had turned around due to the ncs possie detour!) -

That would of been my fault - problem of finding yourself as the lead car, and not having a navigator.

Neil.

What a great day, and it was great to see all the weary smiling faces this morning I am very pleased that I stayed with the pack - I was the one in the silver Golf with the PistonHound in the back! I do miss my lovely Ruby Chimaera, and being out with you lot today didn't help my suffering, but there will be another day....

We have a friend visiting from Toronto, who had the bottle to join us on our mad day out. He had never seen cars the likes of ours before! It was a real treat for him to see the camaraderie between all of us PH'ers, and he loved all the cars at Racing Green. You don't see that kind of horsepower in Canada!

You do...

Good to see everyone again, great route Jeremy .
Joined the 'detour', yes the wrong way I know now . Tim my shakeycam man can't read maps and film at the same time, as a man/boy multitasking is out of the question . Went about a mile the wrong way out of Midhurst before doing a 'U-ee' up the road and tried to catch up. By you lot must have been shifting because I wasn't hanging around either . Didn't see anyone again until RG .

Harry

PS anyone else find the bottom of the slope coming off that 'B' road on the T junction, heading back to the A272/Midhurst a little slippy . Glad I was on me own there, needed most of the road , icy I think

Hey - I wasn't complaining - it was just a shame I couldn't make it to the end without being late. Still that bit of road out of Midhurst is very nice so I'll happily go up and down and up and down

Been said, but worth saying again, a big thanks to Jeremy for putting the time in to sort out such an ace route! That B-road is a gem. Although grip was a little patchy in places, what a cracking day for January.

Thanks also to Racing Green for their hospitality. Appologies to Geoff that we couldn't make it over, but we'll see you soon.

Steve.

Ed / Bassfiend ,

you both saw me...... just not in my Imperial Blue Griff , as I've now sold it. (Went Thurs, back to an owner in Blackpool)

Coming down towards Hawley on the dual carriageway, there was a dirsty Red Scooby Wagon in front of you . Sorry couldn't resist it.....

Now for the next car... what should it be

Fantastic day! Well done Jeremy for sorting such a great route although we kinda went our own way at the start (M25) and missed the loop bit also.

Cheers John and Jan

Thanks Jeremy! What better way to say hello to friends you haven't seen since last year, and enjoy meeting up with people I've not met before. Delightful morning for a drive too.
Kevin,

Thanks again for the coffee at our p!$$ and coffee stop in Fernhurst village while we figured out where we were!

Still can't figure out how your car was so damn clean compared to mine..

Good to meet you Rob! There are worse things than being lost in Surrey on a bright Sunday morning. Would have quite happy to blat around with your lovely little S3 all day. Hope you thawed out OK.

Clean car?! You must have a selective eye... By the time I got home, it looked like Colin McCrae had been in it.

Nah, if it wasn't clean it's gotta be something to do with the stylish Italian lines.

Mine looked like a welsh miner, where-as yours was the stylish Aramani suited Italian business-man in comparison...

Great day all. I hope the Octavia RS didn't cramp the convoys style (Thanks Luca for sneaking my Czech girl into your video !)..
Had to work her hard at times though to keep in the running! Next time I'll bring the blade and liven things up a bit.

I was amused by the sense of (mis)direction by those of you at the front.. After our right out of Midhurst the call of nature beckoned for me and a layby soon provided the solution. Leaving the first group behind, I assumed I could tag onto the second group.. Wrong they had gone straight on into the 'loop of fun'. Lucky for me 10 mins later those of you in the first group re-appeared from my right travelling back into Midhurst. Looked hilarous from my perspective. Nice one all.

BTW whoever had the griff reg J500XXX (?), it sounds superb from behind, even with the windows up and radio on.
