We would need a minimum commitment of 12, for a good event more like 24.

And it always a shame when people cant be arsed to read the thread to see it is not on, and even think that 3 days away from the event you could shift it around to suit them, and you wonder why i wont bother organising one again

I will have a word with a few people when i get back from the US in april. do you usually take deposits? as this might mean people are less likely to mess you around? I would definitely up for it when i get back from america.

Patrick,

Sorry about the lack of response that you have had on this one. However, before you hand over your mantle of PH's premier Karting event organiser, why don't you try another one in the summer.

The three proper days that we had last year were all full - and an absolute blast.

The attitude of the staff at the end of your road is just so far ahead of anywhere else. The track and Karts in Sheffield are amazing - but you're not allowed to race

Rich.

ps - first race 3/4 April at Donnington - wish me luck!

Whoops, fair comment. Not sure how I missed the thread, but yesterday when I saw 'Midlands karting' I thought I'd like some of that, prob being I really need to work this Sat AM. Even had the route on Autoroue express and was working out how quick I could get there. Could possibly have brought two others, though I know you really don't want to hear that now. I had a flick through the posts, couldn't be bothered to read each one, and hadn't spotted that its not happening. Seemed to be really taking off on the first page or so!

Don't know why the apathy. Might I suggest that a lot of peeps on this site seem to need lots of power or have to figure out whats the fastest car they can afford to be able to drive fast. A little unwillingness to put ones reputation on the line, ignoring that it is only a bit of fun and means nothing? Or am I miles off?

Like I say, I might have been able to bring two others. One of them, my cousin, who bought my kart from me, has been very reluctant to go head to head against me, even though he's much younger and lighter, and I couldn't give a toss whether he's quicker than me anyway. One time I tried to get him to come to a local track it was "oh, you've driven there before, its not fair" and I'm "Jamie, I promise, whatever lap time you set I'll go slower if it makes you feel better, I promise!".

Anyway, he came, beat me, just, and set fastest lap, so he's happier to come along now.

Sorry your efforts have come to nought, I'll try to keep my eyes open in future for this sort of event.

Finally taken the plunge and entered the Ginetta Championship - supporting British GT and F3 this year - and we're on telly.

Come and say hello.

Patrick - I'll be in touch re that pair of hands.
