Well done Don - super venue and route to it, and thanks for keeping us legal! Great to meet some more PHers too.

OK - Here's some of my photos from the digital (sent a few rolls off to Mr Fuji - they'll follow later!)

www.fotango.com/cgi-bin/public_gallery_item.cgi?id=132118&index=0&key=

Excellent turn out, I counted up:

Ten Chimaera
Three Cerbera
Three Griffith
One Tasmin FHC (pretty)
One S
One 350i
and Ultima (luvverly!), Caterham and Audi TT

at the start. I know we lost a Chimaera and gained a Griff somewhere! Completely lost count when the extra horses turned up at The Gamekeepers...

I am sure we confused the white Wedge and blue Chimaera heading in the opposite direction from our (err ... what is the collective noun for TVR's on the road anyway ? A "rumble" ... ? A "growl" ...?)

Sorry about that.
Just wanted to say what a great day out it was today - the convoy was quite awesome. Glad to see some people got some in-car photos as we suffered a jammed seatbelt which stopped Cosmic from taking photos from our car.
It was really good to put some faces to names, but as usual we didn't get to talk to everyone. Give it a few more meets and we might get there.

Finally, hats off to Don for organising such a good meet, especially the convoy. We must have looked pretty impressive as we rumbled past. 10/10.

Kind regards
JonRB (& Cosmic G)

Cheers for organising it Don,
I really enjoyed myself, also thanks to the Cerbie owner (sorry didn't catch your name) for stopping to pick my Dad's hat up, after he lost it taking a picture kneeling on the seat.

I just want to pipe up and add my thanks to Don for organising it, I know what stuff like that can be like, and you did a good job sir

To add my pictures, they can be found at www.tvr.hants.ukgateway.net/Monthly_Report/2002/April/April_2002.html just ignore the stuff at the top about our monthly meeting.

Also if any of you want to pop along to the Hampshire TVRCC meetings, the new venue is shown on our website www.hantstvr.co.uk/ - and before anyone says anything we know the website is a little out-of-date but we are working on it.

So Thanks again Don, and I hope to see you all again soon,

Mark.

Thank you Don - what a great event! My only regret is that we had to leave so early and hence didn't have time to meet more of you.

Here are my photographic contributions:

If you would like to be identified through your pride and joy, let me know which it is by email and I'll update the site. By the same token, if you'd rather not have your PH identity alongside the photos then contact me.

Roll on the next meet!

Don,

You have certainly started something here. One meet and how many web sites loaded with photo's. More than 20 cars. Just goes to show how much we all enjoyed the day.
When's the next one??

Cant remember the 'name' of the Chimaera I was following, dark blue L plate? but it sounded rather nice when being gunned.

Harry - that would be me! The missus and I were so intrigued at your comment that we asked the bloke at Fernhurst whether or not we had a sports exhaust - he seemed to think we did. You learn something new every day!

Can only echo what others have said - top meeting and well done to Don

Unfortunate that the numpty contingent was out in force, but as has already been noted, they probably did us a very big favour!

No photos to post, I'm afraid - still sticking to analogue technology. Shame, because Harry's rather tasty V8S features in quite a few of them, including my particular favourite when I was standing on the Chimaera's transmission tunnel in the queue for The Gamekeepers. Please feel free to email me for any prints though.

Cheers,

Paul and Julie.

PS - When's the next one then?!

There must be great scope for a caption competition here.

What did the white wedge and blue Chimaera occupants say when, on a quiet Sunday drive in Hampshire, they come across a convoy of 22 or so coming in the opposite direction?

He said, in a recent message to the TVR Car Club mailing list on Yahoo! Groups...

Spotted on A339 heading from Basingstoke to Alton and then along A3349, you all turned off in South Warnborough (??).

Half a dozen Chimaera's, a couple of Cerbera's and a couple of Griffiths. Probably more that's all I saw.

I followed you from Basingstoke to where you turned off, would of liked to have stopped for a chat. But, I was on my way to Tesco's - a bit of a detour I know, and I didn't know how much further you were driving.

Anyway, must have looked impressive to the oncoming traffic.
