A stop at the stones:

"We sat here first!"

Our bit of off-roading.

I paid a little bit more attention to the early 80s Spider I met a few days ago, thanx to David and Luts one. I'd've normally walked past as I favour the late 60s Duetto and the early 70s Alfas. But comparing prices makes you think again what excellent value for money they really are!

Talking about excellent: the Cloggies Chim is among the finest I've seen. Perfect colourcombo.

How cool is Dans 350i profile.

"The long and winding road."

Bunch of loonies at a pile of stones.

Takes no prisoners.

Lovely office.

It's on the . . .

. . . Skyliner.

Hunnebedden - the big pile of stones - were put together 5000 years ago. Weight per stone varies from 2K - 20K kgs! What we see today is just the skeleton of the original grave. Back in the days they were filled up with dirt and small stones. Holland counts as much as 54 Hunnebedden.

Last bit:

Corvette hiding. One of only a handfull parking spaces near the stones.

Greg and Hillary getting the Merc ready for the last legge.

With the rain pouring heavily the TVR suffered from a more or less broken down demister so we had to drive with the windows down to let some fresh air in. Water came in as well . . . A lot!

The Alfa waiting . . . dark skies ahead.

Last fill up before Zutpen dinner.

Thanx everyone for making this tour an excellent outing and a succesfull 3rd DSR.

DSR'11 will be a run to the UK, and let's see from there. Dates are the friday and the 1st weekend of May.

I'm thinking touring a bit, north of London. GW brekkie on a sunday morning.

Or maybe run from Dover to Hull.

Suggestions are welcome.

Hijack!

In the third week of September Driving-fun (which you may know from the crazy Dutch tunnel runners) will organise its first ever Italy Run.
In short: great Alpine passes, rallyroads, spending the night in medieval castles, factory visits at Maserati, Pagani, Lamborghini and a surprise company in Germany, museum visits at Ferrari (two different musea), Maserati, Lamborghini and Porsche. In short: a week never to forget.

More information can be found here:

And you can view some pictures from the inspection journey here:
