!! Ok chaps & chapesses, its nearly time !!

Some final points before the day.

Please aim to be at Bruntingthorpe for 9 - 9.30am on Sunday.

We will be starting by signing disclaimers & having a safety briefing at approx 9.30

Helmets are advised but not obligatory.

This will be followed by a low speed lap of the circuit to familiarise yourselves with braking areas etc etc.

ONLY DRIVERS FOLLOW ON THIS LAP-NO SPECTATORS PLEASE.

We will start the runs at around 10am. Details of pairings & marshalling etc will be given at the briefing.

OK - SPECTATORS. PLEASE WAIT ENTER THROUGH THE NORMAL GATES AND MAKE YOUR WAY AT NO MORE THAN 30MPH AROUND TO THE CAR PARK (TURN LEFT AFTER THE 747 JUMBO JET)

PLEASE WAIT THERE UNTIL MYSELF OR GREG IN THE SILVER BOXSTER LEADS YOU TO A SAFE AREA TO WATCH.

AS A GENERAL NOTE, ANY SPECTATORS NOT THERE BY 9.30 TO BE DRIVEN TO A SAFE SPECTATING AREA PLEASE WAIT IN THE CARPARK ON THE LEFT OF THE 747 JET.

**DO NOT ENTER THE TRACK UNTIL YOU ARE TAKEN BY MYSELF OR GREG/EMMA IN THE BOXSTER. YOU WILL STILL BE ABLE TO SEE PLENTY & DRIVERS WILL NOT BE EXPECTING OTHER CARS ON THE TRACK AND WILL BE TRAVELLING AT HIGH SPEEDS **

You will be able to see plenty from the area we drive you to. Please could all spectators stay to the LEFT of the track when they are viewing, REMEMBER that there will be people coming back after their high speed runs and they will not be expecting you in their way.

The first 2/3 high speed runs will be driver and allocated passenger only, this is so that the drivers can get used to the track, after this point drivers can swap between cars if they wish.

Any spectators, please ask politely if you wish to go out with the drivers & they may take you out for a run or two, there is plenty of time during the day so if they offer to take you out later as they want to give themselves or their car a break when you ask then don't be too disheartened.

Can everyone bear in mind that it gets very cold so dress appropriately and bring something to cover you up if it rains.

There will be a burger van there for lunch.

Also drivers, you will have a chance to nip off for petrol at lunchtime, you may or may not need it.

Can all drivers bring the £45 balance in cash on the day.

Also, the "mach - vmax 15000bhp" caps will be available at £10 each on the day, grab myself or my brother early as I've had quite a few requests for these.

There is a map below, on a final note can everyone PLEASE take it easy on the way up, the boys in blue may be out & you'll have plenty of chance to ahem... stretch your car's legs on the day

Lets make it a day to remember, cheers.

With the help of a few PHers off board, we have located a Shell Optimax garage about 8 miles from the venue in a place called "Sutton in the Elms" on the B4114. I estimate it will be about a 10 minute drive from Brunters and will be calling by at lunchtime if anyone needs to follow for refuelling.

Great stuff, daz. Probably will need to.

Thanks for the update, Craig. I will ensure I have the balance as crisp and folding notes on the day.

Given that it is £45 can I suggest that PHers ensure they try to pay exactly - as £5 change will be in short supply I'll be bound!

Does anyone know if any of the service stations on the M1 (northbound) between junction 15a and the Brunters turn-off do Optimax?

There's one about a mile off the M1 at IIRC J15 - in Northampton.

I might pop along, do I need to do anything special as a spectator?

Craig - I'm just confirming...Mrs Don will be with me..do I need to bring an extra fiver or are "nominated passengers" covered in the drivers' fees?

Also: What facilities for spectators are there at Brunters? I am trying to work out if we need to bring two cars to provide the Mrs somewhere to sit and keep dry/warm whilst I hammer up and down the circuit.

Don, I'm sure Craig will confirm, but nominated paseengers do NOT pay a fiver - its the non drivers that have to stump up.

Don't worry about Dee - there will be plenty of warm cars for her to keep warm in (including a rather nice Arctic/Boxster Red S....)
