The Cat & Fiddle to Tatton Park is a straight run of 22 miles, and will mean hurtling back down the C&F road, which will be a bind, NOT!

Ignore my earlier comments re e-mailing the roadbooks, they seem to be going out quite nicely.

Unfortunately, I understand the Travelodge that we are starting from is fully booked. If this causes you a problem remember that rooms can be cancelled up to 12 noon on the day so it might pay to check with Travelodge to see if any cancellations have been made, nearer the time. It will be interesting to see how many PHers are staying the night.

Anyone know of a travelodge type hostelry near Macclesfield that might be suitable?

Hi Dav,

Sure, i sent them to you Sunday, and they haven't bounced back.

If you haven't recieved them try e-mailing me via my profile on PH, and I'll send them in the reply.

Sorry if you haven't had them, 'cos I know you've supported this right from early on.

i know I have asked this question several times already... but I still do not know the answers!

What sort of cars do we have going? How many? And how many are booked into the Travel lodge/

I've booked a room as have a couple of others, but if there is only a couple of us, then what's the point? It's a quite a long way for me over from East Yorkshire, which i don't mind doing if there's a decent crowd of us.

There is no need for so much secrecy... anyone who is that interested will know what's happening anyway... so, to start the list:

Burriana500 - Griff 500
anyone else?

Navigator?

Ms D has rebelled, due to the early hour (and not a little because of the dawning realisation that this is a re-run of the 'Treasure Hunt' we went on with the Porky 912s that was anything but - it being a pedal to the metal dash round France!)

So if anyone wants to navigate there is a spare seat

Also do we have a start time as I'm travelling up on the morning

Right guys - Time to come out of the woodwork.

Nonny has put a lot of time and effort into this and so far it looks like we have a grand total of four cars that we KNOW are coming;

Oggs/Nonny - Chim
Burriana500 - Griff 500
Davrian - 911 Carrera

If you are coming, or are booked into the Travel Lodge for Christ's sake let us know!

Simply copy the list above, add your name and car, and post reply.

edited to say - Charlie Boy won't be joining now!

There's a few of the Ferrari boys driving through the District that morning - heading down to www.stanfordhall.co.uk/special-events.html for the day.

Our route is here : http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17643&page=1

If it's close to yours let us know and we all can have a good blast.

Perhaps it might be time to accept that the formula is not what people want.

Maybe an evening run? Saturday evening, perhaps? Start at the Little Chef at the same travelodge and perhaps finish at the Cat & Fiddle, with a bite to eat to end the day.

Can't be this saturday though, 'cos I understand DavrIan is going to the historics at Silverstone that day, and he was keen on the Dawn job right from the start.

I'm quite happy to accept that maybe the idea was better in theory than practice. I just happen to think that too many people go into the Peak district during the summer days, so for a proper hoon on those proper roads we have to be 'out of hours' so to speak.

I was up that way during the evening a week or so ago. It's lovely in the changing light, and the evening air, as it cools, is fabulous, IMO.

What do we think?

No No No
Don't listen to the voices (or non as the case may be!)

The formula is spot on for those who are going. If you read the threads about runs and then compare the bragging about what they will do and then compare them with those who 'suddenly found that they had something else to do' (ie the bride found out!) you will see that most events are supported by a small minority.

Do it for those who want to drive. Less numbers will cause less potential problems. If the route is good and I'm sure it is (and its not possible to work it out after a bottle of Merlot)we can do it again (and again). In the evening, in the Autumn, even in the winter for those who enjoy driving as opposed to tapping keyboards, gardening detail or B&Qing!

Don't lose heart now fer Gawds sake!!!!!

All I need to know is the start time and if fto2tuscan is going in convoy up the M6

Thanks for that, DavrIan.

How about we move the start time to 06.30 - 07.00ish?

Make it easier for those travelling up.

If you made it 6.30 i'd be up for it, the thought of getting there from west yorks any earlier put me off ...but if everyone already committed wants the off at 5.30 i'll understand

Morning All,

The Chef won't be open at our time (it's at the same location as the lodge.

I think we should move the start time to 06.30 then. Perhaps the too early a start has put people off.

We have another car hopefully comuing along, a friend of Oggs in a Chimera. He says he is 9/10ths on for it, work allowing.

The weather forecast for the area on Sunday is dry with sunny periods.

C'mon guys, let's go for it! Let's get the first one out of the way, we can have a good chat about how we'd like these runs to er, run, and have a meet up and a good look at/chat about the cars. And a good 125 mile run with some opportunities to open the lungs on the motors as well.

What do we say?
