Mr Pejica - do not dare let the good name of Yorkshire down! If I can do it from East Yorks and all that

Right Nonny - I'm with Dav on this, bollox to the faint hearts, we'll just put a fair few stops in and take some serious pics to really push the point home that a good run was missed by all (but a few).

Ok then, meet at the Travel Lodge at 06.10 for a 06.30 departure. Any later and we will hit the early morning ramblers/trippers.

Steven - I have a family room booked at the travel lodge with pullout bed and sofa, you are welcome to either and I can meet up with you on the way across the M62.

Nonny/Oggs - what time are we meeting on the saturday evening?

WARNING

Plod have been out in force lately on the cat n fiddle road. Caused a bit of havoc for the NW Lotus club run the other month with a few cars being pulled for questionable front plate sizes and the like.

It may not be a problem at the God awful hour you propose but you never can tell. I'd imagine a copper on duty at 6.30am would most likely be pissed off with life and consider his day made when sighting a bunch of fast motors approaching!!

Think I'll see a few more of you over at Tatton rather than pass up the joy of the duvet

Cheers,
Rob

Right guys - Time to come out of the woodwork.

We KNOW are coming;

Oggs/Nonny - Chim
Burriana500 - Griff 500
Davrian - 911 Carrera

If you are coming, or are booked into the Travel Lodge for Christ's sake let us know!

Evening All,

To this I understand can be added

fto2tuscan - FTO
stepj – Chim 4.5
Vorland – 911 GT3

Time it will finish – as Burriana said, it won’t be late, run should take 3 – 3.5 hours.

I reckon I’ll get to the Travelodge by 6pm at the latest. IIRC there’s a pub just up the road, the Vernon Arms, could try for a bite to eat.

And B19 – thanks for the warning, mate.

Try and avoid the Vernon if you can, it's crap! Go a little bit further in to Poynton and there's plenty of good eating, curry, italian etc.

No worries, hope you all have a good run out! Beep as you go past the small Co-op on the Macc end of the Cat n Fiddle, I'll be a sleep 1/2 a mile down the road

Cheers,
Rob

very much regret I can't make it - stuck at sea somewhere off Ireland... I'm missing all the brilliant weather at home - nothing but rain here...
If you see a bronze MGB LE with female driver give her a wave, SWMBO is driving across in the early hours to Donnington for the Metallica concert... (escorting a friends daughter - she says...)

Have a great time - maybe do this myself in August...
in 'Edgar'.

Cheers
Graham

Right guys - The list is now starting to look a bit more respectable

Deen - Chim

Burriana500 - Griff 500
Hobo - T350
Davrian - 911 Carrera
Vorland - 911 GT3 oh
Fto2tuscan - Fto
HeeBeeGeeTbee - car? or can I guess

So by my reckoning we have Nonny, Oggs, Heebee and myself at the Travel Lodge. I will try to be there by 6.30, I think it should only take an hour and half on a saturday. Beer + pizza or curry sounds good.

Nonny, I'll email you so we can exchange mobile Nos.

I've only just realised how far it is from me... 165.7 miles 2 hrs 57 mins

I wonder how busy the M6 will be and what time to leave to get at the hotel for 6-6.30.

It's gonna be some pre- Le mans work out thats for sure.

Any idea on what the M6 is like on Saturday afternoons??

I'll get there when i get there tho...

Oggs - i wouldn't have thought the M6 would be too bad on a saturday, specially with the new Toll.

Hi Oggs,

Yeah, I'd second the proposal to use the M6 Toll, much as it grates to say so. There are roadworks due to start on the M6 itself, don't know if they have yet, but also you can never rule out the fact that there is a humongous Ikea store right next to J9.

You can leave M6 at J18, and if you check the map, there is a back road that avoids downtown Macclesfield.
Might be worth avoiding all the Saturday shopping numpties.

See you Sat pm.

Cheers,
NN
