Beds, Bucks, Herts, Cambs, Northants? The Mid Beds crowd are meeting up at The Red Lion Lodge on the A600 between Bedford and Shefford next Sunday lunchtime.

The pub also serves Thai food if anyone is peckish.

Don't park on the tarmac, as there can be a ledge designed to scuff glassfibre! The car park is huge though, if a tad like brighton beach...

If you need any info, please contact me.

I hope it will be! It's a new meet, so we will have to see what the turnout is next Sunday. The pub and restaurant are keen and there is plenty of room for parking too.

Where abouts are you based?

Hi Andy. There are several TVRCC meets in striking distance from Bedford. The Northampton crowd meet just off J16 M1, Herts & Beds meet up at Harpenden, Bucks meet is this Friday evening at the Crows Nest, near Tring. Cambridge group meet at the Royal Oak at Barrington, near Royston. I don't have the dates at home, but, if I remember, I will dig them out at work tomorrow.

I'm sure I can make Sunday lunch there

...though I drive a numpty car

Is the pub in a place called ' dead man's cross'? or some such weird name?
If it's the one I'm thinking of....always had visions of gibbets when passing by

Yes it is at Deadmans Cross. I was reluctant to mention that in case it put anyone off! So thanks for letting it out of the bag...

Historical note: Condemmed prisoner were kept in cells in the Village of Ireland, a couple of miles away, then transported to be hung at what is now Deadmans Cross. Sorry no gibbet left now and the pub's food hasn't done me any harm so far...

No excuses this week then Griff?

Thought you were going to Harpenden last Sunday?

Yes it is a new one, for us poor souls miles from anywhere.

On second thoughts you don't sound too welcoming...for non TVR owners.
