I don't have a problem with any type of car arriving at a TVRCC meet as long as they don't assume that they can park with Balckpool's finest.
This bloke is really taking the Michael and spoiling it for the rest of us.....

Spoiling what exactly?

I turned up to a TVR meeting in my 2003 Z06 Corvette, but I agree, if it is a PH meeting anything goes, if it is a TVR Owners (emphasis on Owners) then you should really turn up in the TVR unless of course it is raining. (or any other weather condition that might stop a TVR from working properly).

Well I have turned up to a TVR meet in my Nova before now. Quite a few of our member at the local TVR CC turn up in other makes when they are 'inbetween TVRs'

Novas are the vehicle of Beelzebub himself........

Porsche Boxsters would be towards the top of my list (1st, 2nd, 3rd) unless the drivers opening words were "I have sinned and beg you for forgiveness"

Anything with a Max Power sticker would also be up there

No, you're getting confused. That's Diablos that you're thinking of. It's easy to mix them up, I know.

There's no such thing as a TVR Owners Club. The TVRCC is an enthusiasts club. Show up in what you like, just show up. Just remember, Joospeed (a man most TVR owners would be happy to spend a couple of hours discussing their cars with) used to turn up to meets in a beige Maestro. Your car doesn't necessarily give away your credentials.

Besides, as far as I'm concerned, people who choose who they're going to talk to on the basis of what they drove in to the car park in are limpdicks anyway.

I was in my diesel Pug and John was in his Micra rustbucket. We didn't feel it was appropriate to park on the grass in the line-up of Tivs. We parked in the pub car park.

Even the two lurvely Mini Coopers that joined us parked on the grass facing the Tivs!

All these cars brought TVR enthusiasts to the meet. However...
This XM is just being totally inconsiderate!

There does seems to be quite an 'elitist' air about some (and by no means all) TVR owners - if someone is genuinely interested in the cars but doesn't own one, so what?? Surely the whole point of meets is to get together with like minded people and chat about your passion.

As for someone spoiling it by parking next to a lineup of cars, come on - he is parked far enough away not to have damaged it - is it really that big a deal??

Don't think you should restrict it at all - you only had 5 or 6 interested and if only some of them have TVR's ...

Seriously - many people catch the bug by attending meetings and I'm always more than happy to show people my car and if they are really brave they can come for a ride .. Bassfiend can testify to this.. my car is green and so was he afterwards

...and the skid marks were not only on the road leaving the pub!

TBH there Rev it was a tad tame - I understand the old girl has a bit more life in her now.

TVR owners elitist?

God I've never found that - in the main the TVR crowd seem to be the most down to earth, easy to approach, most friendly bunch I have ever come across. Most of the "Tiv people" I've met through here I would be more than happy to spend an evening with (in fact I did with several a few weeks ago) and I don't think I've met anyone yet who wasn't more than happy just to go for a blat "just for the hell of it".

Bloody good bunch so far!!

This pub has a paddock specially reserved for use by clubs using the pub. It's a Tiv meet and the paddock is expected to be used by the Tivs. There's plenty of other parking available.

What's your problem. This ain't Tesco's you know!
