Nice one Stu.

Happy to Pothole, snow is falling in SW now, so looks like the Surrey snow is making it's way over.

It started snowing in Watford about 20 minutes ago, medium-light in strength though it does not appear to be adding to the existing depth so still planning on setting off in about 40 (to get there ~ midday maybe a bit earlier)

I'm so tempted, just been for a roofless blast through a blizzard myself. It's the thought of getting stuck in motorway chaos that's putting me off.

Tempted to go only because there will be so few vehicles on the road... and it should be easy to get a good parking spot at the Ace Cafe smile

Made it from Gloucestershire to High Wycombe before the Landy was flagged down by the Dibble, who told me not to go down the hill into town unless I live there, because this is the last road out and he's shutting it.

Made an effort, towed some people out, failed to make the Ace. Pistonheads - traction matters.

Sorry guys, took me half an hour to get from Rickmansworth to the M25 so decided to stay on and get up the M1 before it shut! Only a light dusting in Leicester although the M1 before the turnoff was starting to get bad. The barge performed faultlessly and only gave me a couple of squirrely moments, enjoyed passing a Merc of some kind and a 5 series BMW stuck on the edge of Ricky with their wheels spinning to no avail! The dozy bint who decided to just stop in lane 1 on the M1 I do not have much time for, although she looked in some distress but we were all moving...thought about stopping to help but had nothing to offer really.

I feel bad for bailing on this, but clearly there's commitment and then there's idiocy. hehe

And the OH has hidden my cars keys in case I feel like going for a "play" later irked

Well took me around 50-60 minutes to get there from Watford (would have been 30 in good conditions) due to the snow, over-cautious drivers and poor drivers. Took me 4 hours !!! to get back ALL due to poor drivers (I've decided it should be an instant licence ban to any muppet who tries to drive in the ice/snow in a FWD car but just flooring it and wheel spinning along).

Have some pictures I'll try to post later (none including a yank tank allegedly trying to leave the car park sideways .... wink )

It's quite disgusting the manuafacturers should have fitted a button to press in the event of snow or other bad weather

And why isn't it etched into 4X4 windscreens that the driver may, just possibly, need to drive just a tad slower in certain conditions - sue the manufactures

Thankfully most 4X4s come with excessively wide tyres to glide over the snow, ice and smaller cars, we need 24"+ wheels why are they not fitted as standard

These car manufacturers are just not helping to make driving more accessible to those with permanent mind fatigue

We show all take to the streets and protest to our elected parliament (walking of course, if we’re advised how to do that in adverse weather)

Up goes all of our car insurance premiums (for those that bother getting such things) all because of negligent car manufactures

Oh, yeah, what's PH doing about this - blaming the poor drivers !?!
