How's the plans going chaps ! don't want to tread on any toes but can reccommend some good roads from J16 towards Weedon / Flore / Dav then round in big circle North of Np'ton. Haven't been to the new pub near Brampton Heath GC but have heard it's quite good & has a big car park. Other contenders might be;

Navigation at Stoke Bruerne
Heart of England / Crossroads at Weedon
Spencer Arms at Chapel Brampton
Red Lion at Braefield
Dusty Fox at Harlestone

....are you planning a 'quiet Sunday run' (in which case I can use my car) or some 'serious' driving (in which case I'll probably be a passenger)?

Sounds like a good pub crawl to me

Route is pretty well finalised and will be handed out on the day As we don't want to attract any attention from our wonderful BiB. The pub has been sorted by Di (tables reserved I think)she's going to post it here so ppl can just turn up there if they don't fancy the drive

The route can be driven at your own pace but I can't help but think that a few of us will be "pressing on"

I am planing a bit of a loop so there will be a shortcut for more sedate drivers (Di )

Pub is sorted now

The Toby on the Round Spinney roundabout, they are expecting us and may even have a separate room for us. Good food-so I have heard(carvery on sunday) big car park, central location etc.

Other suggestions were good thanks Obes

Hey, you should have seen me Sunday

Any cars that would prefer the sedate drive then dont worry, not all of the drivers like going so fast, so dont let it put you off. Looks like I'm heading up the short cut for the slow ones then Gary?

I should be able to make this one. A bit of a trek to get there but worthwhile as it will probably be my last real run until after Leman.

Any other Esprits or am I going to be flying the flag.

Sorry Di and TVR boyz et al, double booked, going to have to rescind..

choices 1) Yawn my way round Northants countryside following Norfen cars being intoxicated by esscence du superglue...; or
2) Go to Le Mans. abuse local road laws, drink cheap crap beer in crap weather with crap (but not cheap) lycra grid displays..

it was a tuff one , espcecially as i intend to open at some point a TVR parts bin (all parts guarenteed to have road rash), even with Ogg's offer of a lycra clad TVR owner..

I'll have you know my hub cap is still firmly affixed to the wheel

Admit it, you did'nt fancy your chances on the M1 against two purring V8s which dont stop at 135?
