RE: PistonHeads Sunday Service: 30/01/11
Discussion
Just sat down after a long, but utterly fantastic, day.
Thanks to everyone who turned up today
Thanks to everyone for putting up with our ineptitude on the gate (and to those who sneaked in while we were having breakfast!)
Thanks to everyone who gave us food as they arrived and later on too (very much appreciated)
Thanks to all at MINI for having us, and for serving 1600 gorgeous breakfasts
Thanks to Michael Fish for the dry and bright weather
Thanks to everyone who popped over to say hello
Great day, one of the best. We'll see you next time
....oh, and thanks to Ferrari for loaning me the delightful California too

Great meet, first SS ive been too, I like the friendliness of the whole thing. No-one seems to care what you came in as long as you are enthusiastic and enjoy the cars. Where else can you go on a Sunday morning see a Bristol, GTM, E190 Cossie and Lambo all parked up together!
Hopefull get to another one this year at some point.
Missed that Cygnet, but Gaydon isnt too far from Oxford so no doubt it came down from there. Pointless thing though.

Enjoyable first SS for me.
What wasn't so enjoyable was killing a Badger on the way down Hence why the front of my Libra was gaffa taped into place. Some nice cracks in the front clamshell that are gona cost me dear
To be honest when I stopped and had a look at the damage I was surprised it wasn't a lot worse, hitting a badger at 50mph with a plastic car makes a hell of a noise I can tell you.
Feel absolutely awefull for the badger tho

I swear I can still smell the bacon and sausages... Thanks for putting the event on, great turnout and an eclectic mix of motors, as usual! Did I, or did I not see biscuit bribes at the entrance?
Oh, and Spotted! Mr Will & the PH Defender at The Longwall pub
Not just biscuits, we had pies, burgers, flapjack, buns, muffins, donuts (2 varieties), thorntons chocolates and coffee. Oh, and Spotted! Mr Will & the PH Defender at The Longwall pub
Take note everyone
....obviously Will was still hungry however.

Thanks to Mini and Pistonheads for organising the event, was a great day out!
Sorry to hear about Trap's experience, it was nice to get a wave from him/you on the way down. Hopefully yourself and Libra fare better in the future!
Cheers itch. Saw the pistonhead smiley on the MX5 on the way down I do miss my old MX5 on Sunny days like today, there was no way I was leaving the Libra roof at home for a 3hour drive!Sorry to hear about Trap's experience, it was nice to get a wave from him/you on the way down. Hopefully yourself and Libra fare better in the future!
