OP do a bit of feedback when it's done I'll bet you get change out of £35, plus 2 hours work

Given it's disappearing from the outside...cant see how what is inside would be the cause.

If you were really that pedantic about correct hose....get replacements from the dealer. Sometimes prices are surprising...or shocking. Just never know til you ask.

Who knows if there is a known issue, maybe there is a recall or something although that is being hopeful.
In one of the photos it looks like it is disappearing from the outside, but in the others it looks like the damage could be from the inside out.

ID is 4mm can't find any around here had to order from eBay frown

wont even take me 10 minutes the three top pieces just slide off.

The longer bit is more tricky as it connects somewhere out of sight along the engine block to what I think is possibly the fuel pump.

Anyway doesn't matter I'll just cut it and fit a straight connector

£6.50 1 meter 4mm fuel hose.

£2.50 4mm straight connector

I had a bleed off pipe fail on my Focus TDi a few years back, car cut out 100 yards from home.Called the AA and the chap replaced all my pipes for the cost of the kit he carried. Just over £6.
