Hi all, I drive a 2007 corsa d 1.3 diesel. Has just under 100k miles and has recently started juddering under light acceleration but it only seems when the engine is cold though. I was driving home and going about 22 mph in 3rd gear and I would accelerate slowly and the car would seem to jerk for a split second and then carry on as normal. This happened a few times and in second gear also. I then got onto a 50 mph road and there was no problems so it appears to be at lower speeds that this happens. There has also not been any lights showing on the dash.

Anyone have any idea what this might be?

22 in third in a diesel & you are wondering why it is juddering?

The engine will be virtually stalling at that speed.

Hardly. It would be about 1500-1700 rpm in the average small diesel. Not an unusual rpm to drive at although perhaps still a bit before the turbo kicks in.

Change the fuel filter and give it a service. Assume clutch is not slipping?

Thanks for the responses, the car is fine in 3rd gear at that speed.

It also was serviced about 3-4K miles ago and the fuel filter was changed then. It seems that the problem is only there for the first few mins. The clutch isn't slipping as the rpms don't move at all. The jerking feels as if you've gone down to first gear whilst moving and it jerks forward slightly
