OP it'd be nice to have the coupe, I can't remember if they did the 5 cylinder in a manual standard version of that car, if so I'd have that, and the Quattro.

Despite the fact it may not be as fast or nicer handling car compared to others doesn't matter. If you want the best options for that car I'm just saying these would be mine.

There are tuning options for the 5 cylinder that far exceed any others. As a base car you'll have looks, sound, and traction. If you can find a nice one, ignore negative remarks OP and enjoy the thing. The S2 and RS2 were derived from these, so you could do a lot worse really.

Pre facelift (Audi 90 shape) was available with 5 cylinder in 10v and 20v (later around 174 bhp) an N/A version of the S2 and RS2 motor.
