As said in title the egr has been deleted but the plate/gasket Is leaking gasses and they come into cab at idle. I've replaced the gasket and still the same so would anyone recommend a high heat gasket silicone instead or something else

Was it a metal gasket? One on my mondeo was, If it was i take it you reused it and that's probably why it's leaking, they are usually compressable gaskets, ie used once and they squash, now used a second time it's leaking!
If it's leaking with a gasket in it then sealant might not be enough, i'd personally go for a new gasket first, and add sealant as well if you wanted for peace of mind.
Oh, and since i don't know what car it is does the egr have a vacuum hose on it? , check it for splits since you've disturbed it, just to rule out it is actually the gasket.

Hi it was a carbon one new aswell but didn't change a thing, I've since been to vauxhall and bought a metal one not had a chance to fit it yet as it got dark quick after doing the first one and it failed

I've just seen on another site that someone used high heat exhaust sealant to cure this type of leak what would anyone say on this also

The egr has been removed and ports blanked with plates so no vacume hose to worry about
