Hi all- short straw, but worth a go
I sold my beloved old English white, chrome MG BGT about 10 years ago via Pistonheads to a couple who came over from Germany. Circumstances were at the time that the car had to go and it was sold with a heavy heart.
I would dearly like to see the car again, in view of buying back, but did not keep the buyers contact details and email exchanges are not available as my provider has changed.
Any ideas where to start please folks?
Regards Dee

Thanks for the help- not sure I have the VIN but may have the English reg number.
It is possible to purchase from the UK, but it was more of an attachment to that car. I know, how sad is that!
Regards Dee
UK reg probably won't help in Germany but you might be able to contact DVLA or some other source (British Motor Heritage) and source the vin # using the reg. I get the attachment thing, but 10 years is a long time. I've seen new owners of old cars ruin them in 2 years. You might end up spending years looking for it and be sorely disappointed when you find it.It is possible to purchase from the UK, but it was more of an attachment to that car. Good luck with the search.

Many thanks- will try to contact the owners club
Don’t give up !! An HPi will give the Chassis / Vin number.
There will be an MG Owners club in Germany.
Also Face Ache groups.
It took me 38 years to find my Late Dads Hemi Challenger, 30 years his Ghibli, 20 years his V-12 E Type.
Still looking for the 69 Stingray that I stupidly sold to France in 1995....

Had a peek at your profile (in the hope that you’d not only found your dad’s cars, but then bought them back) and stared in awe at your profile picture! How the actual fk?An HPi will give the Chassis / Vin number.

The Ghibli is on listed on Car and Classic for £220,000, with a dealer in Austria, he is dreaming @ that price !! Its been poorly re painted yellow and the welding it’s had is appallingly bad, sadly. It’s the yellow 1967 car, chassis AM115 100.
Re Dads V - 12 E Type, it sold @ Brightwells in 2015, waiting on details of who bought it.
And re my R1 profile shot, where do I start........
But I was hit head on @ speed, on my side of the road, by two lying Scum in their Mercedes.
