Very sorry to hear about the bearing but can I simply say Chapeau! for the whole project

how good does this look



growing up my Dad ran a CX2400 Safari and imho cars dont get much cooler so bringing one up to "11" sounds like an excellent plan biggrin

Yes, that’s the support bearing on the back of the engine block. My guess is it was 50/50 when I put the engine-box back in and possibly the dyno session to set up the ECU sealed it’s fate! Live and learn…….

Not a bad punt then biggrin I was guessing scratchchin done virtually no spannering on your model just BX's Xantia's etc when I went on my own and left Honda way back when, I was helped by the design/style of the bearing so slightly cheated laugh glad it wasnt anything too disastrous for you

CXs are inherently very tough mechanically, lots of big , over engineered stuff , and they’re fundamentally still a very ‘analog’ car. I’m a CX addict but my folks had a BX and a Xantia, the ‘cooking’1.6 BX was brilliant!
