Toyota AA80E vs ZF 8HP70

Chaps and Chapettes
Wondering if someone can help me. I've recently been looking at the Lexus F range (ISF/RCF/GSF), and several reviews of them had people mentioning about the very long gearing. I went and had a look at the Toyota AA80E (Aisin TL-80SN) and looked to compare it to the infamous ZF 8HP70 (Jaguar F-Type). I had a look at the gear ratio comparisons, as well as the change between gears and got 2 interesting charts, as below
I know final drive will also play a part in this (2.937 in the Lexus and 2.56 in the Jaaaaaaaag), but I see what those 2 charts have made, but what I'm not sure is what they mean. I'm not mechanically minded, so if anyone could shed some light on whether they do mean anything in general terms, or if I'm being stupid I'd be really grateful.
Thanks
