Anyone know what spec ally to use on intercooler fabrication? I can get these types:

SIBH4 NS3H4 NS4H3 HS30TF

Which means feck all to me, someone suggested NS4.

HS4 wouldn't be a bad choice at all, its a medium strength alloy that is classed as being "resistant to marine enviroment", it also work hardens so repeated heat cycles won't damage or weaken it. For any complicated extrusions you could also look at HE9.

Above assumes by fabrication you mean end tanks to weld to an existing core? Some IC Core design requires the grade of alloy to be chosen not only on its strength but also on its thermal mass and themral conduction.

Yes, nothing fancy - just need some more ally as my free source (mates scrap bin) dried up over the weekend:



Although might do a chargecooler instead due to packaging..
