Porsche 944 gearbox

When I first drive the car the gearchange from 1st to 2nd can be "notchy". However when the car is warmed up the gear change gets slicker. Is this just a change of oil required ?

Mine does this too, if I try to grab 1st too quick when it cold, it will crunch, I think the synchro's are on the way out. I tried changing the oil on mine and it made it slightly better but it won't cure it alltogther. I used Redline 75/90NS but I've heard good things about Swepco.
