Anyone know if this is relativelly easy to get done or of cost.

I ordered some cams 1.5yrs ago and despite sending the cheque at the time I still dont have them.... I'm getting to the stage were I am thinking I may neeed to do my own thing.
I can get mine reprofiled quite cheaply by Kent cams but this will not increase the lift so I am wondering if I can get one made up.

The trump card is that my heads are the same as the old 2.5L M20 BMW so I may be able to get a high lift cam kits for that car.... however one of my heads is odviously reversed so I would need the other made from scratch!

any ideas?

Why will a Kent cam not increase your lift, how do you adjust the valve clearances on these engines?

I had a custom ground cam ground (Spec. by JW Developments) it was groung by Kent on a new blank, to my great suprise there was no additional charge for it being a custom profile as they charged for the blank + a fixed charge per lobe ground (V6 - 12 lobes)

delivery time was about three to four weeks, could of been quicker but I was in no rush.

Regards,

Chris.

Just be sure to fit double valve springs if you fit a high lift cam, this will stop valve bounce when opening her up!! Happy

luckilly enough M3 springs fit.... I only want to go to 7000-7500rpm so I should be OK.

I think I will give Kent cams a try.
