Has anyone had much luck from these?

www.gtechpro.com/

Seem relatively cheap for what information they can provide.

Would be used for comparison rather than absolute data, like before after analysis of acceleration or lateral grip with different tyres etc.

Basically want to know if it's just going to be an expensive toy or if used properly with flat testing areas and setup properly can be a very handy tool...

Cheers for any advice

I have the 'ss' model,as you say it is usefull for comparison. It is a very cleaver little bit of kit, well made with a very good mount, but if i was buying again though i would buy the 'rr'as you then have the software etc to datalog. You can buy this software seperately to effictively upgrade from 'ss' to 'rr',but it obviously works out more expensive in the long run.
Buy one from the us and its much cheaper than in the uk

Sound good then.

Already spent about £90 on dyno's to test for the variance in alteration's I've made, which in theory this device can do just as easily!

Will buy the RR model too, the difference in price for all the goodies looks well worth it...

Cheers for the advice.

Just if anyone was interested.

Found here:

www.funkystyling.co.uk/

to be the cheapest around at £205 delivered special delivery for the G-Tech Pro RR...

They had them in stock, ordered Friday, in post that night, and arrived the next day!

Ordering from the US is an option, if you like faxing copies of your passport photo and Credit Card to them, filling in a huge form, and then waiting days on end for the dreaded taxes and whatever else they put ontop when importing

Cheers
