Mallory dizzy

Hi, can someone tell me what the points gap should be when using a Mallory dizzy? is it the same as the rover v8 or is it different. the engine is a 5litre tvr unit running carbs , thanks.

Is it a duel point If so it's not just the gaps you need to set but also the dwell Do you have any troble with condenser failer?

It's a mallory, worse than bloody lucas for randomly killing condensors, I always used to carry a spare.

Hi, only used the distributor for a short time so I cannt say that there has been any trouble with the condenser, David.

Then in all seriousness, purchase a spare condensor - they just suddenly die.
