Do diesel injector cleaners work? and which is best.

STP, Wynns, or Slick which is at least twice the price of the first two.

Do they do any damage? and how much smoke do they cause?

My car A Renault clio 1900 Diesel is running OK at the moment I have just done all the filters, but now and then it is a little harder to start than it was, it just sailed through an mot.

Any advice would be appreciated, Thank you.

if its hard to start, its likely glow plugs.

perhaps an air leak in the diesel line after the diesel filter change, maybe the filter seals arent seated properly etc

I use Kent Industries Fuel Guard 2 in my 306 TD as part of a 5000 mile service. I've never had any troubles with it, car seem a little more responsive after a treatment, but probably just psychological though.

It cost £10 for 250ml, its only available through a trade account though.
